The 3 finger puppets Santa Claus, snowman, and moose are perfect as little surprises for the Advent calendar. During the long winter afternoons, they help shorten the wait until the Christkind arrives with funny stories that the children can make up and act out themselves.
You can crochet them very quickly from a few leftover scraps that you’re sure to have at home. Get the pattern here, and you can start right away!

Christmas in Germany means—hopefully—snow-covered forests, fir trees with glittering caps of snow, and bitter cold ;-) Would you like to knit this magical decoration for yourself? Then grab your needles and get started; it's very easy—and your scrap yarn box will get emptier, too! Of course, the pattern for Santa Claus is included as well!

Of course, Christmas time in Bethlehem isn’t quite as bitterly cold as it is in the north. That’s why the Three Wise Men don’t need scarves or gloves, but can pay their respects to the Christ Child in their finest robes. Of course, they have a camel with them too!
The kings and the camel are knitted and not at all difficult to make.

Here are the kings: CLICK!

And here you’ll find the camel: CLICK!

If you can handle some Christmas fun, you’ll also enjoy my
 crochet pattern “Stripping Santa Claus”

Jingle bells, jingle all the way........ Did you actually know that Santa only does the Christmas job as a side gig? In fact, he is the original forefather of the Chippendales, as you can see from the following pictures :)

The pattern is easy to follow for advanced beginners, intermediate crocheters, and pros. Complete beginners might have trouble in a few places. But I’m always happy to help with any questions.

Difficulty level: Medium to difficult

What you need:

Gründl Happy yarn:
  • Pink approx. 250 g
  • Red approx. 250 g
  • White approx. 100 g
  • Black 50–60 g
  • Light gray approx. 5 g
  • Brown approx. 2–3 g
  • Beige approx. 10 g
  • A little craft wire and sturdy wire mesh for fingers, joints, and the parts you’d like to stabilize or make movable
  • A little white fabric and a black Sharpie for the eyes and mouth (possibly googly eyes for the reindeer briefs)
  • Glue
  • Crochet hook size 4, yarn needle and scissors, and stuffing material

For the pom-pom on the hat, a pom-pom maker would be useful; alternatively, use two cardboard discs and google a relevant video on YouTube

What you need to know:

magic ring, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, increasing and decreasing stitches

Cozy, soft and warm, knitted here with Christmas yarn “Mally Socks – Lungauer Sockenwolle” by Ferner Wolle:

Socks made from 6-ply yarn - tutorial with charts for all sizes - knitting pattern

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

What Christmas joy: socks made from 6-ply sock yarn.
They are a bit thicker – and therefore also warmer – and, above all, quicker to knit than socks made from 4-ply yarn. They are usually preferred for house and bed socks, hut slippers, or even for hiking in mountain boots. Men love socks like these in work shoes.

This is basically a sock knitting tutorial, illustrated in detail using children’s socks in size 32/33.

All other sizes can be knitted according to the corresponding chart information for 6-ply sock yarn .

Included in the download :

  • PDF sock knitting pattern - illustrated step by step (22 pages)
  • Baby sock chart for 6-ply sock yarn, from newborns up to shoe size 20
  • Sock chart for 6-ply sock yarn, children’s socks up to adult shoe size 47
We need
1 ball = 150 g (yardage approx. 420 m to 450 m) up to shoe size 44; 200 g – 250 g from size 45 of a 6-ply sock yarn, here using the especially soft Christmas yarn color 02 “Mally Socks – Lungauer Sockenwolle” by Ferner Wolle, 75% merino, 25% polyamide; gauge approx. 22 sts x 31 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm; set of double-pointed needles 3.5; row counter is helpful; measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Note:
For 4-ply sock yarns, there is a separate sock knitting tutorial with corresponding charts here in my shop at https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/5603/sockenstrick-lehrgang-fuer-4-faediges-garn-alle-groessen-fuer-baby-kinder-damen-herrensocken

Crochet Pattern Christmas Decoration / Star / Flower
You can never have enough of these, whether for decoration or for gift wrapping..

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Not just for Christmas - with different yarn, these "flowers" are suitable for the whole year.

The decorative piece consists of two parts, each of which can also be used individually. Finished size with the yarn listed below: approx. 7 cm in diameter.

The PDF pattern has plenty of pictures.

All you need is a leftover yarn of approx. 10 g of a metallic yarn, e.g. used here: Nora Madeira, 25 g – 100 m, 80% viscose, 20% metallized polyester for crochet hook size 2.5 - 3.0.
However, any yarn of your choice with a suitable crochet hook size can also be used. The size of the finished piece will then change according to the yarn. In addition, crochet hook size 2.5, scissors, and a yarn needle are needed here.

These crochet skills are required:
chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, slip stitches, crocheting in rows, and crocheting in rounds. The pattern includes link tips for crochet techniques.

My crochet pattern for a Christmas bell makes a lovely decoration for both indoors and outdoors.

Crocheted from cotton yarn with a yardage of 85 m / 50 g, this bell measures 10 cm tall and, thanks to its impressive size, also decorates the trees in the garden during the Christmas season.

Of course, you can also use any other yarn, such as lots of leftovers from your yarn stash. With Catania (125 m / 50 g), the bells also look lovely as a garland.

Click here for the pattern. Christmas always comes around faster than you think.

Crochet Pattern - Funny Snowmen

Funny Snowmen - a crochet pattern not just for beginners.

The most wonderful time of the year will soon be here again. The time for crafting and decorating. This pattern brings you a really fun decoration. But these snowmen are suitable not only for decorating, but also for little ones to play with, as gifts, as keychains, or as bag charms.

Depending on the yarn and hook size, the snowmen will be between 7 - 25 cm tall. They require only a small amount of material, so you can get started right away with suitable leftover yarn.
You will also need:
  • a few safety eyes (these can also be replaced with small buttons or beads)
  • stuffing
  • for movable arms, pipe cleaners or a little wire.
And because Christmas is also about gifts, the pattern for the Christmas tree (crochetable in any desired size) is included too... and a...(psssst..... not telling yet) ....small, fun decoration pattern. The patterns are described in detail and supported by numerous step-by-step pictures, so even beginners will have no problems .
