Lace patterns give every handmade piece something airy and light. At the same time, these patterns in shawls not only look elegant, but also spice up any outfit.

The possibilities for lace patterns are endless. Here I’ll show you the patterns for three different designs

The Enya Shawl stands out with simple elegance. Here, the well-known Half Granny pattern is interrupted by the elegant lace pattern

All you need for it is a 4-ply Bobbel with 1000 m length (about 200 g) and a size 3.5 crochet hook




The Snowdrop Shawl is a really wonderful beginner shawl, because the flower-like lace pattern is very easy to make.

You only need a Bobbel with 1000 m length (preferably one in delicate colors) and your size 3.5 crochet hook.





The Sunset Shawl enchants with its gorgeous color gradient, which resembles the sunset over the Flensburg Fjord. This shawl is also well suited for beginners.


All you need is a Bobbel of 800–1000 m length and also your size 3.5 crochet hook




You only need to know the following stitches for these shawls:

chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet.

White Dress

What girl doesn’t like playing dress-up? With this, she can dress up her doll too.

Materials:

• white yarn, 50 g, approx. 200 m, 
• Crochet hook size 2, 
• buttons, 
• wool needle 
• matching sewing thread
  

This may result in slight variations. The pattern is also suitable for beginners who already have the necessary knowledge of stitches (how to crochet the different stitches is not explained).

Stitches used:

“Elfenreigen” is a lightweight summer scarf that can also be worn as a stole since it’s a bit wider. The pattern repeat is 12 rows and requires just a little concentration. The pattern is explained row by row. A chart is also included for those who prefer to knit from a chart.
I knitted this shawl using Merino Silk Lace, with a yardage of 800m per 100g. Of course, it can also be knitted with any other lace yarn. It can also be easily scaled up or down.

A lovely gift for a new baby is this beautiful large and, above all, soft shawl. The ideal companion for cold “nursing nights.” Large enough for mom and baby.



Knitted with Schachenmayr “Highland Alpaca Fino,” 50% alpaca, 50% virgin wool, with a yardage of 250 m per 50 g, I used 200 g for this shawl to get a size of 43 x 165 cm.

In the 5-page pattern, the pattern is described row by row, and there is also a knitting chart that I made in Excel.

a Woolly Hugs BOBBEL-COTTON (50% cotton, 50% polyacrylic, yardage =
800 m/200 g) in color no. 01 was used. It was crocheted with a
3.0 mm crochet hook.

About 300 g of Myboshi No. 2 was used with a size 3 crochet hook. But you can also use other yarns with a matching crochet hook.

A knitted scarf with a lace pattern that’s a little out of the ordinary.

You’ll need a 100g skein (or two 50g skeins) of sock yarn and 3.5mm knitting needles. A photo tutorial explains how to make the holes. There’s also a knitting chart and a row-by-row written pattern. Curious?

This scarf features lace pattern lines that run along one side. It’s knitted from 1 skein of sock yarn and gets its effect from the diagonal color gradients created by knitting it on the bias. That sounds complicated, but it’s actually quite simple. The scarf looks best in colorful yarns with color gradients, but of course you can also knit it in a solid color. The length and width can be varied as desired — and you can also use the pattern to knit a much wider shawl.

What knitting skills should you already have:

Knitted Shirt/Pullover 'ALGARVE'

Two in one pattern:sleeveless long shirt, ideal for leggings, and with sleeves, a cotton pullover knitted in a simple lace pattern . Because of the pattern, this results in ONE SIZE for women’s sizes 38–44. Smaller sizes can be worn “oversized.” Weight gain or loss is therefore not a problem.

Material:
300 g (without sleeves) / 550 g (pullover) Austermann Algarve (100% cotton; 50 g – 142 m) for needle size 2.5–3.5; here: knitting needle 3.5, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle, row counter helpful but not absolutely necessary. Gauge according to the label: 27 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

The PDF pattern contains the images from the image gallery (see above); no additional images are included because of the simple cut.

Basic knitting skills are sufficient, including yarn over, knit 2 stitches together, slip-slip-knit 2 stitches together (explained).
