Advertising for other things?

Hi,

are there actually ads for categories other than crafts (crochet, knitting, sewing)?
I just posted my first “other” listing.
It’s a printable file with Christmas sayings and poems that can be printed, cut out, and used for Christmas cards, tags, and gifts.
It’s perfect for those times when you can’t find the right Christmas saying or when you want to speed up the card-making process.

It just occurred to me that I’ve never seen any listings other than crafts. I’m not sure if there’s a demand for something like this, nor am I sure if I’ve placed it in the right category: “Crafts.”

Whether there’s a market for it, I can’t tell you yet. We’ll just have to try it out. I think it’s a good idea, but you have to be a bit careful:
I don’t want to be a nitpicker, but I hope you’ve made sure that all the authors and writers of the poems and sayings have been dead for at least 70 years.
In the case of particularly well-known figures, you can generally assume that their descendants hold the copyright. Take Karl Valentin, for example—there are regular legal issues because people use his sayings and then get into trouble.
If in doubt, check with the author or copyright holder. But I hope—or rather, I assume—that you’ve already taken that into account.

I don’t want to pre-empt Nici, but the question was whether there’s any advertising for this—not whether it’s allowed or whether there’s a market for it. There are also crochet patterns here where I find it hard to believe that the “designer” has permission to sell them. And I think every designer is aware of copyright law...
