has anyone here ever crocheted the “Walking on Sunshine” sock by DROPS (free pattern) and can give me a tip on how to do the heel (page 2)? I’m having a hard time figuring it out, and I suspect that some essential details aren’t included in the pattern...
Oh, I actually wanted to attach the pattern too—I forgot, and I’m doing that now. Or rather, it’s a screenshot with colorful markings to make it easier to find your way around.
Pink markings: I’ve finished what’s shown here. This is the part of the sock that covers the lower leg.
Blue: This is where I need to continue (crochet the heel). Question about this: I have to start with a new strand of yarn and then crochet rows instead of rounds, right?
After “blue” comes green—the heel decrease. I’m completely lost here. If I do this, will I end up with something like a triangle there?
Gray marking: Since I don’t understand the green part, I don’t understand the gray part either....
Edit (Mario): Please do not post excerpts or screenshots from patterns here in the forum. <\/strong><\/em>
you’re supposed to watch the videos, but they don’t help here.
Otherwise, you should ask at the store where you bought the DROPS yarn. But I bought mine online at Lana.de.
If you find a mistake, you’re supposed to contact them. But I haven’t found any mistakes—I just can’t figure it out...
I’ve already crocheted several felted slippers with heels, but I can’t apply that knowledge to what I’m reading here...
Unfortunately, I’ve downloaded several DROPS patterns and bought the yarn to go with them. And I’m having problems with almost all of them, even though I’m not exactly a complete beginner. It’s very frustrating.
If you have any tips on where I can ask for help, I’d really appreciate it. :-)
