With this crocheted, modern poncho, you’ll be right on trend; it’s a beautiful eye-catcher and perfect for cool summer evenings.

Just slip it on, tighten the collar if needed, and the weather won’t bother you anymore.
The pattern includes the following 3 sizes/measurements:
  • Children ages 8–12
  • Women’s size 36–42
  • Women’s size 44–48/50
The poncho is crocheted in rounds and is also quite doable for ambitious beginners.

Materials needed:
  • For women’s size 36–42, I used approx. 1400 m of 4-ply yarn (for larger/smaller sizes, plan for correspondingly more/less)
  • 2 crochet hooks to match the yarn (sizes 3.5 + 4 were used here)

Knitting pattern for a featherlight poncho/stole - very easy

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

One size - the pattern and cut are absolutely suitable for beginners.

This is a short pattern for a featherlight poncho in one size that is very easy to knit, made from just 100 g of KidSilk (Austermann). For beginners, I recommend (lace) yarns without mohair, as mohair can hardly be unraveled at all.

The PDF pattern includes the preview image.

By the way: The poncho can also be knitted as a warm outdoor poncho with thick wool, 100 g - 100 m, using needle size 8.0. The required amount of yarn is then approx. 700 g. The number of stitches is always based on the individual gauge.
To convert your individual gauge, I recommend this here:
READ IT OFF instead of calculating - PDF table for knitting and crochet
as well as my blog post: Converting gauge - here's how...

Required knitting skills:
casting on stitches, edge stitch (your favorite edge stitch), knit and purl stitches, bind off.

Crochet pattern for a warm poncho with Möbius shawl collar (loop) - easy

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Quick and easy to crochet...

With this crochet method, you can decide while crocheting how
large the poncho should be – you simply stop crocheting whenever it
feels right.

The poncho and Möbius scarf are made with thick gradient yarn, 100 g – 100 m, and an 8.0 mm crochet hook. Yarn required for both pieces: approx. 700 g.

The PDF pattern includes the poncho and Möbius scarf and has photos, but it is not a crochet course in itself.

These crochet skills are needed:
chain stitches, single crochet, slip stitches, crocheting in rows, crocheting in rounds.

By the way: with a Möbius scarf, the pattern you make is mirrored, i.e., one horizontal half appears like a right outside, while the second half appears like a wrong inside of the pattern. This creates sophisticated effects, depending on how the scarf is draped and how the pattern falls.
