Materials needed, not including the mane:

• approx. 85 g yarn for hook size recommendation 4 (here with a yardage of 238 m/100 g)
• crochet hook size 3 (so the hand puppet turns out nice and firm)
• 2 safety eyes, 12 mm, or googly eyes/beads
• some stuffing (only for the eyes and the horn)

A wonderful weekend project that doesn’t even require you to buy extra yarn is Pino the Bird of Paradise.
He is a totally crazy, completely flightless leftover-yarn eater and has become perfectly round in the process.

Once finished, Pino will be approx. 32 cm tall (when using the specified hook size and yarn weight). You will receive a detailed 20-page pattern with lots of photos to follow along.
