Have lots of colorful leftover yarn scraps piled up at your place? You could use them to make my caterpillar Raupelina. Leftover yarn is great to knit with, and switching colors again and again is never boring.

Raupelina is 75 cm long, but can also be made longer as a cuddly snake. She is knitted on 2 needles for size 3.0.

Mini Calf “Resi” Crochet Pattern
Click here to go directly to the crochet pattern

Hello everyone, my name is Resi and I’m a little calf. I love to cuddle, and I also make a great keychain or bag charm. At just 7–8 cm tall, you can take me anywhere, because I fit in any bag :-) What you’ll need
  • Approx. 10g of yarn in white or cream (I used Schachenmayr Catania Fine in cream-white). Your yarn should definitely be suitable for a 2mm crochet hook
  • Scraps in pink and brown. Both should also be suitable for a 2mm crochet hook
  • 2mm crochet hook
  • stuffing
  • Scissors, darning needle, stitch markers
  • 6mm safety eyes, or alternatively, black thread for embroidering the eyes
  • If you want to use your little calf as a keychain, you’ll also need a keyring

A 19-page crochet pattern with plenty of pictures showing everything step by step. I’ll even guide you through sewing the individual pieces together. Difficulty level: Easy, suitable for beginners. You should be familiar with the basic crochet techniques: crocheting in spiral rounds, single crochet, slip stitches, making a magic ring, changing colors, increasing and decreasing, double crochet/half double crochet, as well as sewing the individual pieces together.

A lovely weekend project is this shopping bag, which you can knit in thick or thin cotton, depending on what you have on hand.

You can find the pattern here.

The onion pattern is much easier than it looks. There is a knitting chart for it, but everything is also written out. The yarn usage also depends on the yarn you choose; you can read more about that in the description.
With a bag like this, you’ll definitely cut a fine figure at the market next time!

A scarf with playful holes in it is fun to knit, and you can get quite a lot done over a weekend.

The holes are made in an unconventional way, but it’s explained with pictures. There is also a knitting chart, and everything is written out row by row as well.
For materials, you’ll need about 400 m of sock yarn and 3.5 mm knitting needles.

You can find Emil the Raven here...

A lovable raven and a buddy and friend in the children's room :-)
Emil is always a popular fellow, loved by both big and little amigurumi fans.
Single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet, two eyes and stuffing. Use the yarn you have at home. From 70 g if you crochet with acrylic. A little more with cotton.
It's best to get started right away, then Emil can lounge comfortably on your couch sometime too :-)

Have fun crocheting...

Trudi is a lovable duck who is simply looking for a nice home.

Trudi is approx. 25–30 cm tall, depending on the yarn weight used. Single crochet, increases and decreases—a project that even ambitious beginners will enjoy. You will need approx. 130 g cotton yarn; here I used organic cotton by Lana Grossa, a size 3 crochet hook, stuffing, a blunt needle, and, if you like, two teddy bear eyes, or simply embroider the eyes. Of course, Trudi can be crocheted with any yarn/wool you like. This will only change the size and the amount of material needed.

For little ones and grown-ups... Trudi is simply fun :-)

Have fun crocheting ...

Here I’d like to show you a few patterns that are perfect for a relaxed weekend. I’ve put together a colorful mix for you.

____________________
Maybe you want to use the weekend to get a head start on fall in peace and quiet. After all, the cold season will definitely come around again, and with it hat weather. Then I’d like to introduce you to this bestseller from my shop:

The pattern for this striped-look beanie is written for children and adults. You can also use yarn in a different yarn weight than the one used in the pattern. The hat will still turn out well.
--> Click here for the crochet pattern: Crochet a hat / beanie with stripes - also for beginners

Do you want to spruce up your house or patio a little this weekend? Or are you invited to a birthday / a party and still need a little something? Then I recommend the colorful lantern jars “Lichterschein.”

For them, you only need leftover yarn and an empty large yogurt jar. And then you’re ready to go. Plus, you’re even doing some upcycling along the way.
--> Click here for the crochet pattern: Crochet around a jar - lantern jar “Lichterschein”

Welcome summer this weekend, make yourself comfortable in your lounge chair, and enjoy a beautiful day on your patio at home. For that, I can recommend this pattern.

The “Sommerfreude” lanterns are lovely summer decorations. If you add a small string of lights to them, they also glow at night and create a wonderful atmosphere for a glass of wine or a glass of beer on the patio. Bring that vacation feeling home.

This casual bag is the ideal companion for summer!

Elegant in natural tones, classic and casual in shape, it goes with almost any leisure outfit and is a real eye-catcher. With this special stitch, it is possible to crochet in rounds without a jog, creating the ideal base for embroidered motifs.

In the photos, you can see the embroidered front side and the unembroidered back side. Of course, you can embroider both sides or leave the bag “plain” — just as you like.

Here’s the pattern

Material: Schachenmayr Boston Sun (LL 100 m/100 g) in Natural (color 02) and Linen (color 05), 300 g each
Crochet hook 7.0 mm

Required prior knowledge: chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet

Who says knitted pieces can't be elegant?
Not at all! This long top is the perfect companion for any candlelight dinner or trip to the opera!
The pattern is kept simple, but the special cut and the slit at the back create the effect!

This pattern is designed for sizes 36/38 and 40/42.
However, the included cut and gauge make it possible to make any size!

A detailed chart also guides you through joining the back and front pieces.

And here’s the pattern and more details...

Brand-new this weekend.

The slip-through scarf DONAR

Slip-through scarves are the ideal companions for our dear little ones, because without knots there is not such a great risk of strangulation.

The scarf is loosely wrapped around the shoulder and secured simply by pulling one end through the opening. No knot or button is needed!

This pattern is also ideal for using up scraps. You can knit the scarf with any type of yarn. The red scarf shown is made from leftover Wollmeise sock yarn, and the purple scarf from leftover gradient yarn / a bobbel.

You will find two versions of Donar in the pattern. One without a lace pattern for boys and unisex, and a more playful version with a lace pattern for girls.

What do you need to know how to do?
  • casting on stitches
  • knit stitches
  • purl stitches
  • increase
  • decrease
All this is included:
  • suitable for beginners
  • written pattern
  • incl. graphic
  • incl. electronic knitting chart
  • for toddlers and children
You need these materials at home:
  • leftover sock yarn
  • leftover gradient yarn / bobbel
  • 3 mm 60 cm circular knitting needle
  • scissors
  • yarn needle

My motto for the weekend: Out with the leftovers!

An ideal leftover-buster is the all-purpose pouch "Fiora", which can be adjusted to any desired size.

................................

Another great way to use up leftovers are the brightly colored "Mini-Tinis", which make wonderful bag charms, keychains, or small gifts to bring along. You can crochet them as a bear, dog, or cat.
