This traditional bodice is laced with a crocheted chain-stitch cord; alternatively, traditional buttons can also be attached – just as you like.

Knitted Poncho/Stole, feather-light - very easy

One size - pattern and shape are absolutely suitable for beginners.

This is a short pattern for a feather-light, very easy-to-knit one-size poncho made with just 100 g of KidSilk (Austermann). For beginners, I recommend (lace) yarns without mohair, since mohair is almost impossible to unravel.

The PDF pattern includes the preview image.

By the way: The poncho can also be knitted as a warm outdoor poncho using bulky yarn, 100 g - 100 m, with needle size 8.0. The required yarn amount is then approx. 700 g. Required knitting skills:

Crochet pattern scarf/cowl and headband PLAYFUL in a simple shell pattern

I made the set with summery cotton yarn, here Schachenmayr Cotton Bamboo, 50% cotton / 50% viscose,50 g – 120 m, needle size according to the label 3 - 4, used here crochet hook size 4.0; gauge according to the label 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Please choose alternative yarns (e.g., Merino Extrafine 120 by Schachenmayr) according to the details above.

Yarn needed / finished measurements:

• 150 g for the scarf/cowl: approx. 14 cm x 140 cm – length variable
• 50 g for the headband - size variable

The 8-page PDF pattern is illustrated, but requires the following basic crochet skills:
chain stitches, double crochet, single crochet, crocheting in rows. A link explaining the basic skills is included in the PDF. 

Difficulty level: easy – also suitable for advanced beginners.

This is an Excel spreadsheet for automatically converting a yarn amount from the "original yarn" to an "alternative yarn" of your choice. 


Example:
The original yarn named in your pattern has a yardage of 85 m per 50 g. According to the instructions there, you need 600 g of this "original yarn" for your size. But you would like to make your piece in a different yarn (= alternative yarn). The yarn you have chosen has a yardage of 70 m per 50 g ball. You enter this information in the Excel spreadsheet and immediately receive the required amount in
balls and grams for your desired yarn.

A gauge swatch is always advisable. To determine the number of stitches needed for your individual knitted piece, the simple version of my Excel conversion table for your gauge is included as a bonus.
