Dear users, dear authors,
how's the weather and how's your crafting going?

Thanks for asking: The weather is beautiful, though still a bit chilly today and quite windy. On the train to the airport, I was knitting a shawl for our daughter-in-law—they’ve come to Switzerland for a short visit. I can only keep knitting once they’re gone, since it’s supposed to be a surprise. So tonight I’ll crochet a lucky piggy for a neighbor’s 80th birthday.

I had a tough day photographing a First Communion celebration.
It was really lovely and a lot of fun, but now I’m feeling the strain a little bit. :-)

The weather is wonderful—the sun shone all day, with a light breeze the whole time—that’s just how I like it.

I was in the mountains yesterday and I’ve got sore muscles :-) But it was great! And now I’m knitting away on an idea for a new shawl.

Well, the weather is beautiful. What’s getting to me is the summer slump. I haven’t been here that long yet, so I don’t know all that much. But at least I knitted about 10 rounds. Outside in the sun, with music by the Amigos. That was really wonderful.
I knitted something for winter, with needle size 5 in this lovely weather. That was a bit extreme.

It’s nice that summer is really arriving now.
Wishing everyone a good start to the week

Jana

Hi Jana, knitting for winter now is just as normal as getting winter colors or yarn right now.
Here, the pollen is flying around at the moment, so I’m retreating indoors to do some crocheting.

Best, Sabine

My day was sooo... lovely—I’m on vacation right now.

My husband and I went on a bike ride by the sea; the weather was sunny and crisp—just wonderful. I’ll get back to crocheting once I’m home ☺

Wishing everyone a great start to the new week.

Best regards, Petra

When it’s sunny, I spend time outside with my little guy. The outdoor pool has already opened here, and we’ve been going there often to swim. Well, my little guy has been. The water is definitely still too cold for me. Of course, I always have my knitting with me.

The weather here is also fantastic. Unfortunately, I have to work all day long—things are exceptionally busy at work right now, so my overtime hours are piling up.
At home, the past few weeks have been packed with family celebrations.
My son has asked me to crochet a stole for his teacher as an end-of-term gift. He picked out the colors and a beautiful basic pattern. Since he’s about to switch schools and he absolutely adores his teacher—she’s one of those rare teachers who’s dedicated, fair, strict when she needs to be, and always has a smile—I’m happy to grant his wish.
And so I’ll probably be busy with this for a while.

It’s the end of May, I’m still not taking any antihistamines, and I still don’t have hay fever—switching to an animal-free diet has now shown this very positive side effect for the fourth year in a row. I just baked some delicious banana pancakes, and now I’m sitting here full and content in front of an open window; the sun is shining, and I’m grinning happily to myself—so, I’m doing great :-).

I was doing fine...before I went to the seniors’ afternoon.
I was asked if I could fill “a little gap” during the May sing-along with a funny story.
Sure, I can. BUT: nobody had told me that the “little gap” was actually a whole hour…
You can imagine that it wasn’t really funny.
The flute group then put the icing on the cake of all the chaos. They played so high-pitched and so slowly that hardly anyone could sing along. Somehow, everyone there was relieved when the afternoon ended half an hour earlier than planned…
I still have that awful squeaking in my ears.

The only good thing was that one of my fellow dancers was thrilled with her crocheted dance mouse.
