Crochet Pattern: Triangle Shawl for Any Yarn

For this all-season triangle shawl , you can basically use any yarn you like—the thinner the yarn, the more elegant the result. Size: any size.

For the dimensions shown here, approx. 70 cm x 162 cm, I used 350 g of Schachenmayr Cotton Bamboo (50 g – 120 m), with a hook size of 3–4 according to the label (here, a 4.0 mm crochet hook). I wouldn’t recommend using thicker yarn for aesthetic reasons. I decided not to block the shawl, as this allows the curves of the shell pattern to stand out better—but that’s a matter of personal taste.

The following crochet skills are required:
chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and front post double crochet (explained in the pattern).

The illustrated PDF pattern is not a crochet course. A link/video recommendation for a crochet course, among other things, is included.

The PDF contains

• in the first part, a detailed pattern with corresponding illustrations,
• in the second part, a shorter version that is also illustrated, and

3 Techniques - Knitted Möbius Scarf-Cowl-Headband

Here, the basic principle and three cast-on techniques for knitting Möbius scarves/loops are presented. Try them out and choose your favorite method :-)


The PDF pattern is illustrated in detail and includes 2 patterns:

Model 1 – Colorful - is a Möbius loop/scarf with a circumference of approx. 90 cm and a height of approx. 20 cm, which can be worn wonderfully in different variations as a shoulder warmer and neck warmer. For this we only need 1 ball of Woolly Hugs Bandy, here color no. 7, 100 g – 210 m, 100% cotton, gauge according to the label: 14 sts x 20 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm; circular knitting needle size 6.0 with a cable length of 1 m; stitch marker; measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends. If needed, a small leftover of a slightly thinner yarn in a matching color (e.g. Record 210 – potholder yarn, here in green) and crochet hook 4.5.

Model II – Möbius Cowl in Milky White nestles wonderfully around the neck like a turtleneck, but can also be worn as a headband. This model is wonderfully suitable as a gift and is knitted in just a few hours.For this we only need 1 ball of merino yarn, 50 g – 85 m, e.g. Merino 85 by Austermann or Schachenmayr, 100% merino, according to the label for needle size 6 – 7 and a gauge of 16 sts x 22 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm. Used here: circular knitting needle 6.0, cable length 80 cm to 100 cm; stitch marker; measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.


Both models are worked in a simple reversible rib pattern.

These knitting skills are required:
casting on stitches, knit and purl stitches, knitting in the round,
knit stitches together, purl stitches together, yarn over, bind off.
A basic knitting course is not included, but link tips are.

Crochet Pattern Möbius Collar 1-2-3-4

This collar wonderfully jazzes up sweaters and shirts.

It is crocheted from approx. 60 g of a merino yarn with a yardage of 50 g – 160 m and hook size 3 – 4 (here with a 3.5 mm crochet hook) and can be finished quickly in one afternoon. Beginners should allow themselves a little more crochet time.

Other yarns with a suitable hook size can also be used. In my opinion, however, the pattern shows up better in finer yarns.

The Möbius technique in crochet is considerably easier than in knitting.

For the illustrated PDF pattern basic crochet skills are sufficient (chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, slip stitch). Link tips for learning to crochet are included.

Knitting Pattern Hat ALL-SEASON BEANIE made from sock yarn

For this feather-light all-season beanie, which is made with knitting needles in various sizes (the brim with needles size 3.5, the main part with size 6.0, the decreases with 4.5 and 4.0) and with a crochet hook size 3.0–4.0 for the decoration, 70 g of 6-ply sock yarn is enough, though 1 skein usually contains 150 g.
So from the leftover yarn you can easily knit a small loop scarf or even 1 pair of socks up to shoe size 36/37 :-)

     Get yourself Konrad the Beetle :- )                      

The first 3 rays of sunshine appear, and beetle mania breaks out ;-) Konrad is about 15 to 17 cm tall if you have 40 g of yarn and a size 3 hook. But he can also be crocheted with different yarn weights and hooks. Konrad is quick to make and a great way to start spring. He is crocheted with single crochet stitches and is also well suited for beginners. Use up leftover yarn and simply crochet yourself your own beetle.

A beetle you just have to love :-)

This shawl is called Primavera—spring.



That came about because the yarn used is also called Primavera—a thick cotton yarn with spring-like color gradients.
The pattern is very easy to knit; knowing knit and purl stitches is completely sufficient. It is knitted with 5.5 mm needles. With the thick yarn, you can quickly see your progress.
The shape is a long rectangle, which you can vary in width as you like—from a narrow scarf to an even much wider stole that warms your shoulders on cool spring evenings.
The pattern is written out row by row and also shown in a knitting chart.

Knitting Pattern for a Striped Cotton Short-Sleeved Cardigan

Spring is in the air. And stripes are totally on trend.

With a top under this comfortable-to-wear cotton short-sleeved cardigan, you’ll be wonderfully dressed both at work and in your free time. And if it gets a bit cooler, a thin turtleneck can also be worn underneath.

These knitting skills are required:
casting on stitches, knit and purl stitches, knitting stitches together, yarn over, emphasized decreases, and increases from the strand between stitches (explained with pictures).

Difficulty level: intermediate

We need
a total of approx. 450 g Catania (Schachenmayr) or Limone (Schoeller+Stahl) for sizes S to L, 100% mercerized cotton, label information: 50 g – 125 m yardage, needle size 2.5 – 3.5,  gauge 26 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm,

with the following color distribution:

• Blue 100 g
• White 100 g
• Dark green 150 g
• Light green 100 g

Depending on the size, more or less leftover yarn will remain from each ball.

Used here: knitting needle size 3.5, 3 stitch holders and 1 cable for putting stitches on hold, stitch markers and row counter (not absolutely necessary), pins for blocking, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Knitted Shirt/Pullover 'ALGARVE'

Two in one pattern:
Sleeveless long shirt, ideal for leggings, and with sleeves, a cotton pullover knitted in a simple lace pattern .

Due to the stitch pattern, this results in ONE SIZE for women's sizes 38 - 44. Smaller sizes can be worn as "oversized." Weight gain or loss is therefore no problem.

Required materials:
300 g (without sleeves) / 550 g (pullover) Austermann Algarve (100% cotton; 50 g – 142 m) for needle size 2.5 – 3.5; here: knitting needle 3.5, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle, row counter helpful but not strictly necessary. Gauge according to the yarn label: 27 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

The PDF pattern includes the images from the image gallery (see above); additional images are not included due to the simple cut.

Basic knitting skills are required, including yarn over, knit 2 stitches together, slip-slip-knit 2 stitches together (is explained).

A shawl made from sock yarn is just the thing for snuggling up on the patio in the evening. It’s lightweight and keeps your shoulders warm.

Cardigan Gita - Sizes 36 to 42 One Size

A knitted lightweight piece for every season – whether worn over or under – simple, with an eye-catching collar area. Both patterns used are absolutely easy (only knit and purl stitches). The collar shaping requires a little attention. 
Unlike the “Margit” model, the sleeves are knitted with a sleeve cap. The length is variable.

The illustrated pattern, worked out stitch by stitch and row by row, is based on a gauge of approx. 14.5 sts = approx. 10 cm with 6.0 mm knitting needles. Due to the relaxed shape and stretchiness of the jacket, one stitch more or less is not all that decisive. So it’s no problem if 14 or 15 sts make approx. 10 cm. If your gauge differs more significantly, please choose a larger or smaller knitting needle size. The pattern does not include a knitting course, but it does include helpful link tips.

We need
225 g KidSilk by Austermann, color 40 Emerald, 75% kid mohair, 25% silk,
Information according to the ball band: needles 3–4 mm, 18 sts x 26 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm, hand wash, 25 g – 225 m yardage;

For this special sleeveless baby vest without buttons, we need:

150 g gray merino wool + 50 g red merino wool, here Schachenmayr Merino Extrafine 120, 50 g – 120 m yardage, gauge according to the ball band: 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm, knitting needles 3.0–4.0;
here: knitting needles 4.0, cable needle, crochet hook 3.5 for the bow, stitch holder or similar for holding stitches, yarn needle for weaving in ends, a stitch marker is helpful.

The PDF pattern is illustrated. The red cable on the back is worked using the intarsia technique (explanation is included) and requires a little time and skill - so I would not recommend it for beginner knitters. The cable also looks nice in solid gray; the whole piece is then knitted up quite quickly. For knitting beginners, I recommend knitting this vest completely without the cable and/or in one color.

Knitting Pattern Loop 'Violetta'

A stroll through the farmers' market is great fun in spring when all the fresh vegetables and fruit are available. But for that you need a shopping bag to carry your treasures home.

The flowers are blooming again and bringing color to the landscape, the first butterflies are flying, the birds are busy chirping again, the days are getting longer again, and you can sit wonderfully in the sun again...maybe even with your crochet things and let the warm spring sun shine on you while you crochet. I’d like to show you a few patterns that work wonderfully for that, or that can really come in handy in spring:

When there is still a bit of cold wind blowing in spring, or when you’re still sitting out on the patio in the evening, a lightweight loop scarf can be very useful. The “Margery” loop scarf is wonderfully suited for this, because it is crocheted from gradient yarn and is a lovely lightweight loop scarf.

The crocheted jars “Lichterschein” and “Lichterzauber” are a great decoration for the patio or the living room. They are a wonderful way to use up leftover yarn, and they are quick to crochet. They also make a great gift if you’re spontaneously invited somewhere. And they’re also wonderful to crochet in the garden, e.g., on a comfortable lounge chair.

With its holidays (Easter, Pentecost, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day), spring is also a great opportunity to have brunch or breakfast together with family and/or friends. Brand new in my shop: "Summer Mood" table runner

 

The combination of a delicate butterfly motif and floral ornaments makes the "Summer Mood" table runner an eye-catching feature on a table, counter, or sideboard. The 11-page crochet pattern explains how to make the "Summer Mood" table runner with detailed descriptions, numerous pictures, templates, and crochet charts. Solid basic crochet skills are required (see below); however, special techniques such as filet crochet from a chart and patent double crochet are explained in detail with pictures.

When completed and stretched, the table runner measures approximately 100 x 40 cm (cotton yarn with a 2.5 mm hook). The length can be adjusted by making the white pattern sections longer or shorter.

Finally summer — and now something light for our little doll mums

• Materials for the outfit: yarn in pink, purple, green, and gray, yardage 200 m / 50 g; yellow yarn, yardage 133 m / 50 g; size 2.5 crochet hook, buttons for the sandals, snap fastener for the dress, stuffing, pins, yarn needle
• Materials for the snake: scraps of yarn in purple, green, red, and white, size 2 crochet hook, stuffing, yarn needle

Stitches used: single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, treble crochet, chain stitch. The pattern is suitable for beginners who can work these stitches.

Lucky Shawl Trifolium

How did the idea of crocheting a shawl like this come about? First there was the yarn. :-)
What can you crochet or knit with 100 or 150 g of yarn in bright spring colors? The colors should really shine, so no elaborate pattern. It should be cheerful and match the colors. It should be airy and, if needed, also provide a little warmth, because even in summer there are cool days.
So one thing led to another, and a quick-to-crochet shawl was created.
It is asymmetrical, similar to the dragon tail shawl. But without points, and with clover leaves instead.
That is also where the name for the shawl comes from: Trifolium (Latin for clover), and because a four-leaf clover brings luck: “Lucky Shawl Trifolium”.
It is absolutely suitable for beginners because we only need chain stitches, slip stitches, and single crochet. That really is all.

There is one exception after all, though: later a button is added. But it is not necessary; you can leave it out or use a regular button. More on that later.
Every step is explained, and to help you understand what I am writing, there are lots of photos included.

Material:

• for a small scarf 100 g, for a larger one 150 g, or more as desired
  
• 6-ply sock yarn (yardage 280 m per 100 g)

You’ll need a small amount of cotton (I used 40 m for mine) and knitting needles, preferably a bit thinner than recommended for your yarn, so the knitted fabric becomes dense and sturdy and protects well against heat.
The pattern is suitable for beginners; you need to know knit and purl stitches, and it is explained in words and with a knitting chart.
For the hanging loop, you’ll also need a crochet hook.
