Unicorn Egg Cup Crochet Pattern
Click here to go directly to the crochet pattern

Brighten up your breakfast table with these cute unicorn egg cups. The unicorn egg cups will put a smile on your face first thing in the morning. They make great gifts and are real eye-catchers :-) What you’ll need:
  • Approx. 20g of white yarn, suitable for a 3mm crochet hook. I used 100% cotton, which makes the egg cup nice and sturdy.
  • Scraps of pink yarn (for the unicorn’s mouth), also suitable for a 3mm hook
  • Scraps of white yarn, suitable for a 2mm hook (for the ears)
  • Scraps of purple or yellow/gold yarn, suitable for a 2mm hook (for the horn)
  • Yarn for the mane and tail
  • 6mm safety eyes
  • Stuffing
  • Scissors, darning needle, stitch markers
16-page crochet pattern with plenty of pictures
Difficulty level: Easy—you should be familiar with the basic crochet techniques (making a magic ring, crocheting in spiral rounds, single crochet, sewing on the individual pieces...). The pattern uses only single crochet stitches, so it’s also suitable for beginners.

Lennox the Lion Crochet Pattern
Click here to go directly to the crochet pattern

Hello everyone!! My name is Lennox, and I’m a small but proud little lion cub. I’m about 12 cm tall and an absolutely reliable and loyal companion who will always make you smile! I’m house-trained and hardly create any work for you around the house. Overall, I’m very independent and perfect for becoming your new cuddle buddy ;-)What You Should Know
  • How to crochet single crochet in spiral rounds
  • How to make a magic ring
  • Slip stitches
  • Sewing the individual pieces together
  • So, general basic knowledge of crocheting

A 25-page crochet pattern with plenty of pictures for each step. I won’t leave you in the lurch when it comes to sewing the individual pieces together either. Difficulty level: Easy, though you should already have worked in spiral rounds. What you’ll need:
  • Approx. 20 g of yarn (Schoeller Stahl Zimba medium in color 0218) in the color you want your lion to be. The yarn should be suitable for a 3 mm crochet hook (Schoeller Stahl recommends a 3.5 mm hook for this yarn, but it works great with a 3 mm hook)
  • Approx. 20 g of yarn for the lion’s mane (I used eyelash yarn, but it also works great with normal leftover yarn).
  • White leftover yarn suitable for a 2 mm crochet hook
  • Brown yarn for the nose
  • Safety eyes (8 mm)
  • Stuffing
  • Scissors, darning needle
  • Stitch markers
  • Pins to secure the individual limbs before sewing them together

The crocheted jars "Lichterschein" are my bestseller in May. Let me briefly tell you why I like these lanterns so much:
  • They are simply wonderfully colorful.
  • They are perfect as gifts when you need a little something. That's why I also like to crochet them in advance.
  • They are a great upcycling idea, because all you need is an empty yogurt jar and leftover yarn.
  • You can decorate with them in so many rooms or in so many places, e.g. hallway, living room, terrace, etc.
  • They are quick to crochet, and after a few jars it just flows by itself.
Here you can find the pattern and all the information about the required materials and the yarn used:

In May, people start thinking about their vacations, even if they’re still a little ways off. And when you crochet these colorful seashells, your thoughts will surely drift to the ocean—so much so that you can almost hear the sound of the waves.
You can get started right away. Gather up a few leftover yarn scraps (pastel colors and color gradients look especially beautiful), find the right crochet hook—all you need now is the pattern —and you’re ready to go!

a good fit even after multiple washes.

Required materials:
  • For women’s size 36/38, I used approx. 900 m of 4-ply yarn (for larger sizes, plan for correspondingly more)

Knitting pattern: summer top with cowl collar

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

This summer top with the unusual collar knits up quickly.

The download also includes an Excel spreadsheet for converting your individual gauge. For this you will need Excel or LibreOffice; the latter is available for free download on the Internet.

The PDF pattern includes pictures, but it is not a basic knitting course (a link for basic knitting techniques is included).

Difficulty level: medium / easy for experienced knitters.

These knitting skills are required:
casting on stitches, purl and knit stitches, yarn over, knit together, left-leaning knit decrease (explained), increase from the bar between stitches, bind off stitches.

We need for sizes S/M/L: 300 g cotton (blend) ribbon yarn, Keiki by Austermann used here, 63% cotton, 37 % polyamide, for needle size 5 – 6,
gauge according to the ball band: 16 stitches x 23 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm, 50 g – 90 m,
pins for blocking, measuring tape, yarn needle for sewing in ends, scissors, row counter is helpful.
Used here: knitting needle size 5.0.

LOOK UP instead of Calculating - PDF table for knitting and crochet

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

This PDF table is simply practical for on the go and for printing.

You crochet or knit your gauge swatch (at least 10 cm x 10 cm), count how many stitches make 10 cm for you, and can then conveniently look up in the table how many stitches you need to cast on for your desired measurement.

****************************************
Recommendation:
For patterns, when a pattern says "divisible by.. plus..stitches" I recommend an Excel table with automatic calculation formulas: Gauge conversion table - crochet and knitting (click me).
However, this requires a spreadsheet program, such as Excel or LibreOffice (LibreOffice is available online for free).

A true perennial favorite is the crochet pattern for the shawl Tausendschön.

Tausendschön is a large, beautiful cozy shawl. Because of its slightly asymmetrical shape, it can be worn in many different ways. The little flowers, which also gave the scarf its name, are crocheted on as you go and are the highlight!

The shawl can be crocheted in many yarn weights. The size can also be varied freely.

Materials needed:
  • approx. 1500 meters of 3- to 4-ply yarn (e.g. lace yarn, gradient cake, or sock yarn)
  • crochet hook size 3–4
  • sewing needle
  • scissors
  • kitchen scale (to calculate the amount used)
  • possibly a little spray starch
Skills needed:
  • chain stitches
  • single crochet stitches
  • slip stitches
  • double crochet stitches
  • crocheting stitches together
A photo tutorial shows how the little flowers are crocheted.

Finished dimensions: approx. 184–90 cm (but it can also be made smaller or larger).
The pattern is 12 pages long and includes written instructions as well as charts, a schematic drawing, and a photo tutorial. Difficulty level: easy.

Another bestseller is the crochet pattern for the Blue Lagoon shawl.

Blue Lagoon is a beautiful triangular shawl that is crocheted from top to bottom.

Post double crochets alternate with a shell pattern, and the crowning touch is a clever pattern made of post double crochets that form a leaf.

The shawl looks especially beautiful with a gradient yarn cake, but it can also be made in a solid-colored yarn.

Materials needed:

  • approx. 1200 meters of sock-weight yarn (e.g. 4-ply gradient yarn cake, Zauberball by Schoppel)
  • crochet hook size 4
  • scissors
  • sewing needle
  • (optional) material for tassels
Skills needed:
  • basic skills
  • front post double crochet
  • back post double crochet
  • crochet stitches together

Finished measurements: approx. 190 x 70 cm.
Difficulty level: easy (for ambitious beginners) to medium.

These little folding boxes are bestsellers in my store again this May. That’s understandable: The boxes are very easy to make and can be crafted whenever you have the time and inclination—since they fold flat, they can be stored in a very space-saving way until you’re ready to use them.

The 10 boxes, which come in different sizes, have side lengths ranging from 3 to 8 cm. They’re made from cardstock, require gluing in just one spot, and are suitable even for absolute beginners.

"Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future. Concentrate your mind on the present moment." - QUOTE Buddha
And with that in mind - enjoy time with your loved ones around a beautifully decorated table!

A detailed description guides you through the crochet process.
For clarity, the pattern includes 3 charts of the motifs, 1 crochet chart, as well as a illustrated step-by-step explanation for the color changes.

The finished table runner measures approximately 158 x 45 cm. However, the listed gauge and the crochet section between the motifs leave room for individual lengths.

And here’s the pattern and more details...

This batwing pullover is loose, colorful, and cozy, and perks up any boring outfit in no time!
With its wide batwing sleeves, it is an ideal companion all year round—whether at home, at the movies or on a walk—it simply always fits!

This project is absolutely suitable for beginners because the sleeves do not have to be worked separately.

This pattern is designed for sizes S-M and L/XL.
The included schematic and the gauge make it possible, however, to make any size!

Now in late spring, this backpack is once again growing in popularity: Starting school is a big topic for many families again this year, so people are looking for—or making—suitable gifts and matching packaging for the occasion. Whether you give the backpack in addition to the traditional school cone or instead of it, this gift packaging is original, quite spacious, and is guaranteed to be received with great joy.

The backpack is made of cardstock and measures approximately 16.5 x 22.5 x 9 cm. It’s easy to make and well suited even for beginners with a little crafting experience.

My surprise for May is the ASTERIA
Why a surprise? It was my very first pattern, and this month it’s really taking off.

The pattern is an easy beginner’s project. The shape of the five points is created through clever increases and decreases.

The project can be knitted for ages 12 months and up, all the way to adult sizes. Only the yarn length required changes.

Adjusting the stitch distribution for a different gauge or yarn is easy to calculate.

• Formulas for calculating other sizes are included in the pattern

What do you need to know?
• Casting on
• Knit and purl stitches
• kfb (knit-front-back) increase
• Knitting stitches together
• Binding off

The basic techniques listed are not explained in the pattern.

Since the temperatures weren’t exactly summery until recently, my bestseller in May: the MANOU arm warmers! Whether solid, striped, or made with gradient yarn: the zigzag lace pattern looks great in every version and is fun both to knit and to wear! Give it a try and knit several variations right away—it’s fun to play with the colors!

The knitting pattern is available in 2 sizes, and you can follow either the knitting chart or the round-by-round instructions. You can knit them with any 4-ply sock yarn, with Mille Colori Baby by Lang, or with any yarn of similar weight; you’ll also need a set of double-pointed needles size 2.5.

Have fun knitting—click here for the pattern:

Perfect for strawberry season, this gift bag is very popular right now. Thanks to its unusual shape and strong resemblance to a strawberry, it brings a lot of joy even before it’s unwrapped.

The bag is made from cardstock and measures approximately 16 x 23 x 16 cm. It’s well suited for craft beginners, but it does require some dexterity. Detailed instructions help you assemble all the individual parts.

My bestseller in May is this embroidered shoulder bag in natural colors:
This casual bag is the perfect companion for summer!
Elegant thanks to its natural tones, classic yet casual in shape, it goes with almost any casual outfit and is a
real eye-catcher.
With this special stitch, you can crochet in rounds without any offset, creating the ideal base for embroidery designs.

... also, my “Live, Love, Laugh” shopping net has continued to sell very well:
Thanks to the filet pattern, the bag is crocheted in no time and also makes a great gift.
I used Catania by Schachenmayr as the yarn, but of course you can use any other cotton yarn—it’s also great for using up leftover yarn. Crochet hooks: 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm.
