Baby Pointed Hat - Looking for a pattern

Hi, I'm looking for a pattern for a light, airy baby pointed hat for a baby photo shoot.
I received a picture from the expectant mom asking for a hat like this.

Anyone who looks at the hat via the link above might be able to give me a few tips?

I think it’s crocheted with a large hook. Do the post double crochets create the airy look (holes) along the bottom edge?

I’d appreciate any advice.

In any case, it’s very thick yarn. You’ll probably have to experiment a bit to figure out how many stitches you need for the head size.
Those horizontal ribs you can see there—I’d say those are post double crochets. You crochet from the back around the double crochet from the previous round—so not into the loops at the top, but around the “stem”—and then the loops lie on the front, creating a raised pattern.

Definitely thick yarn. I actually saw one yesterday that had similar colors. Now I’m going to dig out some leftover thick yarn and give it a try. After all, it’s “just” about the beginning, which looks so nice and airy.
