The night sky is always inspiring. I find it especially beautiful on mild summer nights, when the heat of the day has given way to the coolness of the evening. Summer is also when you see the most shooting stars. That’s probably because we spend more time outside in summer. For anyone interested—the next few days (May 5 and 6) are expected to bring a meteor shower, so let’s hope we get to see something :-) Then we can make a wish :-)
When you’re sitting outside like that and looking up at the sky, it can naturally get chilly pretty quickly, and that’s when a warming shawl comes in handy. Perfect for the night, here is the Nite Flite stole.



It is knitted with sock yarn, preferably in black, but of course you can also use other colors. What makes it special is that it is knitted lengthwise and can therefore be adjusted to any width, depending on your personal preference. You start with a lace-pattern border, then continue in simple ribbing until you reach the desired size. The yarn usage depends on the size; it is knitted on 4 mm needles.

Magical into summer... ;-)

This crocheted summer dress—made in cool cotton—is perfect for summer days at the beach,

Inspired by the starry sky of a balmy summer night, the beautiful knitted shawl Tinuviel was created.



Tinuviel is a large, crescent-shaped shawl designed especially for the lace yarns Schoppel’s “Laceball 100” and “Zauberball 100,” but it can also be knitted with any other lace yarn.

The yarn you choose should not be thicker than typical lace yarn, as otherwise it could lose its light and airy character. Tinuviel is knitted from the top down; even increases along the edge and within the shawl create the shape.





Materials needed:

• approx. 800 meters of lace yarn (e.g. Laceball by Schoppel)
• circular knitting needle size 3–4 mm
• beads (e.g. rocailles)
• a piece of very thin wire or dental floss
• sewing needle
• scissors
• kitchen scale

Skills needed:

• knit stitches
• purl stitches
• yarn overs
• knitting stitches together
• increases
• reading knitting charts

with a tiny bit of imagination, this shawl has something of a rainbow about it,

it is not nearly as difficult to knit as it looks,
since it is knitted entirely with knit stitches,

however, it does also include short rows, but with a little practice they work out too,
once the first corner is knitted, the rest practically do themselves!

Shooting stars are made of stars, and I love to crochet them with the HARLEKIN pattern



The color gradient comes from a trendy gradient yarn cake, so there is no tedious weaving in of ends.

You simply crochet in rounds and let your color gradient do the work. In the end, you only have to weave in the starting and ending ends.

What do you need to know?

• chain stitches
• single crochet stitches
• double crochet stitches
• decreases or crocheting stitches together
• post double crochet stitches

All this is included:

You need these materials at home:

The shawl Ilmen



In mythology, Ilmen is the layer of air that holds the stars. For me, that’s a fitting analogy for this shawl, across which the stars wander.

The lace pattern comes in 2 variants, for a full star and a textured star.

This shawl is worked very long and narrow (the sample measures 220 x 80 cm) and has a slightly asymmetrical shape. It is not an asymmetrical triangular shawl! Ilmen is worked seamlessly from the bottom up. The asymmetry comes from the width.
