Mother's Day 2017: Sunday, May 14
Father's Day 2017: Thursday, May 25 / "Ascension Day"

Dear users, dear authors,
it’s time for the Mother’s Day patterns. Patterns for leftover yarn that are also manageable for beginners could be a good idea now. Don’t forget the hearts, the jewelry, the flowers, and the shawls; those are always a good choice. And you’re sure to come up with something for Father’s Day, too. Good luck.

@Authors,
this is a promotional thread for all authors who sell on Crazypatterns.
2-3 thematically suitable patterns per author are enough. Please link directly to the respective pattern; don’t include a general shop link.
Link and image, as well as material info, technique info, difficulty level info, and details about what makes the pattern special, must not be missing.

Link to the pattern

It is suitable for cleansing the face, or for removing dead skin cells from the body to help your summer tan last a little longer.
Together with a nice shower gel or a fragrant body lotion, it makes a great gift for Mother’s Day, birthdays, or Christmas, ...

The glove is crocheted from approx. 25 g of cotton yarn with a length of 125 m/50 g (e.g., Schachenmayr Catania) using a 3.0 mm crochet hook, worked in rows without increases or decreases, using single crochet and double crochet stitches. Small and Large Hearts

Click here to go directly to the crochet pattern

These hearts make great keychains or bag charms :-), so they’re perfect as Mother’s or Father’s Day gifts.

The small heart is 5 cm tall and 5 cm wide at its widest point. The large heart is about 6 cm tall and about 7 cm wide at its widest point. What you’ll need:
  • A 3mm crochet hook
  • Yarn or wool suitable for a 3mm crochet hook. In the photos in this pattern, I used 100% cotton in dusty pink and burgundy. But you can also use other types of yarn.
  • Stuffing
  • Scissors and a darning needle
  • The hearts are crocheted in spiral rounds, which means you don’t have to close the rounds with a slip stitch or start with a chain stitch. You simply continue directly with single crochet stitches. The hearts are crocheted exclusively with single crochet stitches.

9 illustrated pages. Difficulty: Easy. The hearts are very quick to crochet (experienced crocheters can finish both hearts in about 45 minutes).

Freddy the Lucky Piglet with a Heart

Click here to go directly to the crochet pattern

Freddy is about 20 cm tall (including ears); the heart is about 6 cm tall and about 7 cm wide (at its widest point). His “wobbly legs” move in all directions, so he can perch perfectly on any table edge or corner. What you’ll need:
  • A 3 mm crochet hook
  • Approx. 60 g of pink yarn (I used Schachenmayr “Universa”) suitable for a 3 mm crochet hook. Approx. 15 g of white/cream-colored yarn for the feet and arms, also suitable for a 3 mm crochet hook. Black thread for the face.
  • A darning needle, and possibly some pins to help you sew the individual limbs in place more precisely at the end.
  • Stuffing/craft stuffing
  • 8 mm safety eyes
  • Scissors
  • For the little heart, you’ll also need red yarn (100% cotton), which should also be suitable for a 3 mm crochet hook
25 illustrated pages
Difficulty: Easy, suitable for beginners. The pattern uses only single crochet stitches. You should be comfortable making a magic ring, crocheting single crochet stitches, and increasing and decreasing stitches. Freddy is perfect for beginners!

If you still need a lightning-fast gift, this bookmark is a great choice. It is knitted from cotton yarn in a lace pattern and is really finished in no time. One takes about an hour and approx. 20 m of yarn.
The pattern is written out row by row and also shown in a knitting chart.

You can find the bookmark here.

A charming little bag with knitted-in hearts is quick to make and is sure to delight any mother. It works well for wrapping small gifts inside, but it also looks lovely on its own.
You’ll need two leftover bits of sock yarn for it (ideally one of the two colors is red) and a 2.5 mm set of double-pointed needles. A knitting chart helps with knitting the hearts.

Here’s the pattern.

And since Father's Day is still a little while away...
... there's definitely still enough time to make this elegant sweater ;-)

The simple yet sophisticated cable pattern really adds some momentum to the piece.
A simple stockinette stitch pattern frames the cable look and makes it stand out even more.

This pattern is designed for sizes 48/50 and 54/56.
However, the included schematic and gauge make it possible to work any size!

A detailed description as well as a chart guide you step by step through the pattern.

You can still make this little door wreath (window wreath) with a diameter of 12 cm in time for Mother’s Day! You’ll need a 12-cm-diameter Styrofoam wreath and scraps of cotton yarn in white and various shades of pink, plus maybe a few beads. The rest is a breeze, because the wreath is very easy to crochet. Every single step is explained in detail in the pattern. Get the pattern and get started! Mom will be thrilled with this handmade, personalized gift.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve given away a lot of homemade dish sponges, and they’ve been a huge hit. They clean great, and the finished sponges are very durable. A quick gift, especially for Mother’s Day—my unicorn sponge made with Creative Bubble yarn from Rico Design.

It’s easy for beginners to make, comes with a pattern that explains every row and round, and will awaken the fairy or princess in you while you’re doing the dishes. It really works! ;-)

Warning: Highly addictive!

Practical gifts are also especially suitable for Mother’s Day. After all, what could be nicer than something handmade that you can also use every day?

This loop scarf here is a great option, for example. It is crocheted from gradient yarn and is also easy for beginners to make because it has a simple pattern. Thanks to the gradient yarn, though, it still has plenty of variety.

The pattern includes lots of photos and detailed explanations. Chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet were used. To crochet it, you’ll need a three-strand yarn cake with 750 meters of yardage.

Are you still looking for a small gift for Mother's Day or Father's Day?

How about a bear with a casual hoodie for Dad? Or the little bear girl for Mom?
Or crochet the whole family as teddy bears ;)

The pattern includes the instructions for the girl and the boy as well as the accessories (backpack, bag, little bow).

All you need is some crochet yarn in the colors you want, a crochet hook, stuffing, and a sewing needle. Optionally, a key ring or something similar and any decorations you like.

The bears are mainly crocheted with single crochet stitches, so they are also absolutely suitable for ambitious beginners.

Get the pattern here and get started right away!

I hope you have lots of fun :)
