Cardigan Gita - Size 36 to 42 One Size

A knitted lightweight piece for every season – whether worn over or under – simple, with an eye-catching collar area. Both patterns used are absolutely easy (only knit and purl stitches). The collar design requires a little attention, so the difficulty level is intermediate. Unlike the “Margit” model, the sleeves are knitted with a sleeve cap. The length is adjustable.

The illustrated pattern with stitch- and row-by-row instructions is based on a gauge of approx. 14.5 stitches = approx. 10 cm with size 6.0 knitting needles.

Because of the jacket’s relaxed shape and stretch, one stitch more or less is not that crucial. So it’s no problem if 14 or 15 stitches = approx. 10 cm. If there are larger gauge differences, please choose a larger or smaller knitting needle size.

The pattern does not include a knitting course, but it does include helpful link tips.

We need

225 g KidSilk by Austermann, color 40 Emerald, 75% kid mohair, 25% silk, information according to the ball band: needles 3–4, 18 stitches x 26 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm, hand wash, 25 g – 225 m yardage;

Alternative yarns:

e.g. Kid-Seta (Schulana) or Kid Mohair/KidSilk (Adriafil) – the same quantity in each case for the total back length knitted here of approx. 71 cm. This material is knitted with the yarn held double.

You can also use yarns such as Creative Melange chunky (Rico), if the ball bands indicate a gauge of approx. 14 stitches = approx. 10 cm with size 6.0 needles. In that case, knit with a single strand and plan on approx. 100 g more yarn (due to the jacket length and collar) than recommended on the ball band.

Used here: size 6.0 knitting needles, pins, measuring tape, yarn needle for weaving in ends, scissors, stitch markers, row counter if needed.

This is a short pattern for a featherlight poncho in one size, very easy to knit, made from just 100 g of KidSilk (Austermann).

This comfortable, cozy knitted piece in an oversized style weighs only approx. 275 g with the yarns used here, so it is featherlight.

Both patterns used are absolutely easy. The collar design requires a little care, so the difficulty level is intermediate. The length is variable.


The model shown is knitted with two strands held together and needle size 6.0 from 175 g KidSilk by Austermann plus 100 g Merino Lace by Austermann. Alternatively, you can choose yarns with a needle size suitable for the yarn that roughly correspond to a gauge of 17 sts = approx. 10 cm with size 6.0 knitting needles, e.g. approx. 450 g Dolce Mohair (Mondial) - knitted with a single strand. Additional yarn alternatives - also without mohair - are listed in the pattern. Stitch markers are highly recommended.

The illustrated PDF pattern  with stitch- and row-by-row instructions is based on the gauge mentioned above. Because of the jacket’s relaxed shape and stretchiness, one stitch more or less is not that crucial. If your gauge differs more significantly, please choose a larger or smaller knitting needle size. Cuddly soft yet delicate as a whisper is the knitted stole Fanyamar.
With a little trick, this beautiful stole can be turned into a poncho.

 

Fanyamar was designed for lace yarns, because that is the best way to show off its delicate and airy character. Still, the stole also looks dreamily beautiful in thicker yarns such as sock yarn. However, the yarn you choose should definitely not be any thicker than that.

Materials needed:

• approx. 150 grams of yarn (approx. 750 meters) lace yarn (e.g. Lace Seta / Lace Seta degradé by Lana Grossa, Laceball by Schoppel)
• size 4 circular knitting needle; I recommend a cable system with interchangeable needle tips

The stole is started at one corner with just 3 stitches. It gets its shape through regular increases and decreases. The pattern includes stitch counts for 2 different sizes.

A beautiful, feather-light crochet shawl in a delicate lace pattern is Fuego.

 

The pattern in this beautiful lace shawl looks like little flickering flames, which is where the name comes from. 

Materials needed:

Tinuviel is a beautiful knitted, feather-light lace shawl, designed specifically for Schoppel’s “Laceball 100” and “Zauberball 100” lace yarn, but it can also be knitted with any other lace yarn.


 

It is knitted from the top down; even increases at the edge and within the shawl create its crescent shape.

Knit yourself a feather-light lace shawl...

 


“Seray” comes from Turkish and means “As beautiful as the moon.” This shawl is knitted from the top down and gets its triangular shape through regular increases at the edge and in the center. 
It is finished with a heart border that makes the shawl an absolute eye-catcher. With an iridescent yarn, it can also be worn as an evening stole, for example.

Materials needed:

• approx. 840 meters of lace yarn. It can also be knitted with thicker yarn, e.g. sock yarn, but it looks best with a lace yarn.
