Christmas

Hi,

Christmas is just around the corner, and I’d love to crochet some nativity figures for my kids.
Unfortunately, I can’t find any patterns for them here. Maybe one of the kind people here has a pattern they’d be willing to sell.
I’d be so happy—I absolutely love crocheting, but without a pattern, I’m lost.

@ursulapetra, I don’t really like the pattern very much, I don’t mean that in a bad way, it’s all a matter of taste. I’m looking more for something cute and childlike.

@Conni: I think the sellers are currently very busy putting together patterns for Christmas. If you can be patient for a few more weeks, the selection of handmade nativity figures might be larger, and you’re sure to find something you like. Welcome to the forum, and have fun crocheting :)

I’m a bit old-fashioned in that regard—for me, the figures have to be made of wood—but everyone has different tastes, and that’s a good thing.

Oh, I think well-made crocheted figures have their own charm too, but of course, it’s just a matter of taste—everyone has their own preferences, and you can always switch it up. One year the wooden figures, the next year the crocheted ones.

Do you actually have any crocheted Christmas tree ornaments? Crocheted stars or something like that?

One option would be to rotate them, or get new figures every year—new materials, new designs. It might be a bit of a hassle in the long run and perhaps a little expensive, but maybe you could resell the items on eBay and get at least some of the money back.
