Dear users, dear authors,
what craft projects are you working on?

I’m knitting a summer sweater with a lace pattern. The back is finished, and I’ve completed more than half of the front.
I have to admit, I haven’t knitted at all today (due to a lack of time)—but I’ll definitely continue knitting later.

I’m currently making keychains for the “Owl Kids” at the kindergarten.... The “clever Owl Kids” are our preschoolers who will be starting school this fall, and as a farewell gift, each child will receive an owl keychain in their group colors—yellow and blue.

I’ve crocheted 10 so far—the next ones will follow shortly ;-)

Best, Sabine

My current “hand”work project is making myself at home here. I’ve just registered my business and created my signature; now I’m moving on to my profile page, the terms and conditions, and revising the patterns I’ve posted.
But in fact, for Mother’s Day I made jam and decorated the jars and lids.

Hi everyone,

today I’ve already crocheted a chocolate airplane and a chocolate flower, as well as
a few rows of my vest.

Other than that, I won’t have much time to crochet over the next few days, since my
youngest is celebrating her First Communion on April 23. We’ll all have our hands full then.

Best wishes, Heike

Sorry, the photo didn’t work out just now. I still need to get started on the pattern. First, I need to take care of the organizational stuff ;)

I’m currently working on a crocheted sweater that I’m making from the top down.
It’s crocheted entirely without seams.

I’m using variegated yarn that matches the sunset theme—ranging from gold to orange to dark red.

A few rows on the Summer Colors project (yay, I found some great yarn in amazing colors :-))
And I’m about to get back to it!

I'm currently making little items for the play shop. My grandson always wants to play "shopping." So, after crocheted candy and cookies, sewn potatoes, and ice cream scoops, it's now time for crocheted "popsicles." A great way to use up all kinds of leftover yarn.... Someday soon, I should crochet something healthy....

Today I sewed a pillow to prop my legs up in bed. I’ve had leg pain for weeks.

Then I crocheted a few more rows of the baby blanket, and to mix things up a bit, I’m currently using up some leftover yellow cotton yarn (I have a lot of yellow from a mistaken purchase) to crochet emojis.
Right now I’m trying my hand at making a keychain!

Does assembling furniture count too?
The girls' bedroom is furnished—a pink-and-white little-girl dream *love*
And I just crocheted a little bit on the top my older daughter wanted, and now I'm waiting for Seven to come back from her walk and try it on again so I can see whether it's long enough yet.

Best wishes

I took a break from crafts today. I’m feeling a little down because my sweetheart boarded a cargo ship today for a three-month voyage. Of course, he found a crocheted good-luck charm in his suitcase.

Over the last few days, I’ve made several lucky pigs (but they’re all gone already), two baby comforters (those are gone too), and a beautiful wreath for the door (with ducks, cattails, and water lilies)—it’s currently waiting to be picked up. And now I’ll confess—and don’t you dare laugh—I’m making a very elaborate door wreath for my dear daughter-in-law for Advent. The advantage is: I can take my time and just do something else in between. Otherwise, I’m always under so much pressure because it has to be finished. Not this time!

Uschimaus: I’d never laugh. When I make gifts, I always start well in advance too (the first two Christmas gifts are already finished). I can’t think of anything worse than being short on time and then having to force yourself to work. I’d rather start early and let people smile at me for it.
So I can totally understand that.

I’m working on Little Tiger Tomy
The pattern is very well written, but it’s quite tricky.
Grandma can handle it.

Yesterday I took a break from crocheting. I retreated to the bathtub with a good book. I always take these medicated oil baths until the itching finally stops, and that can take a while. And afterward, I’m so slippery that I stay away from the yarn.
But today I want to dig out a UFO. I started knitting a vest for my dad two years ago. Then I had to wait for a matching zipper, and I haven’t taken it out again since.
All that’s left is the hood and the pockets. So I guess I’ll see what still really needs to be done...

@Pe-Ka,

medicinal oil bath? for itching?
Could you tell me which one you have?
I've been looking for something that really helps for years... ;-)

Best wishes, Sabine

Good Friday:
Does a trip to the emergency vet count too? Our vet was on emergency duty today, which was really great. Doggie (13 years old) overdid it while digging holes. His shoulder is making him pay for it at home :-))) So the motto is: take it easy, keep him on a leash, only from one tree to the next, no more. But he’s lying down anyway because he can’t put much weight on it.
A 13-year-old Labrador, like ours. Osteoarthritis. Well, now lunch is next, then a visit to Auntie, who will be 100 years old in November. I guess that’s it for today.

Wishing everyone a lovely Easter holiday

Today I’m going to manage to finish my 100 pieces for the keychains—I only have 10 wings left to crochet.... And, as usual, I have to go buy more yarn.

Then, unfortunately, comes the boring part: sewing them all together!

I hope the kids will be happy with them ;-)

I have a headache and can’t concentrate on crocheting or knitting at all, so I’m making myself a Missy :) I’ve wanted to do this for a long time, and I think now is just the perfect time for it

Dear Sabine,

it took me a while to reply—I wanted to write it out exactly. The bath additive is called Balneum Hermal Plus—Polidocanol Bath Additive.
You can find it at the pharmacy, and it doesn’t require a prescription.

I’ve suffered from mild to moderate psoriasis since early childhood. Every now and then it gets really bad. My mom used to prepare this bath for me when I was a child, and when she saw me recently—as I was scratching myself again—she went right out and got me another one. Moms notice everything!

Once a week, and I don’t scratch my skin raw.

Thanks Pe-Ka,

I’ll get some and give it a try.... I have a chronic form of lichen, which is related to psoriasis.

Many thanks, Sabine

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I finished a summer scarf and immediately started on my next project: a cute summer shawl made with lace yarn, following a pattern I bought here ;-)

I finished a little bear for my next pattern and was looking forward to typing it up... until I realized I’d forgotten to take photos of the most complicated step... Now I have to crochet another one. But oh well, then I’ll just have 7 instead of 6 ;) a0

I got more done yesterday: I made a whole 3 little bears and made good progress on my new shawl. Maybe I’ll even finish it this weekend! :) a0

I finished a cowl for a CAL :) I’ve been excited the whole time, but I’m not allowed to show it because it’s a secret :)

I’m currently knitting a summery tunic, which seems completely surreal given the freezing temperatures outside!
I’m also working on arm warmers again—they’re much more appropriate for the weather, so the pile keeps getting bigger because I’m so fascinated by the pattern and I keep wanting to try out new color combinations..... Help.....No one needs that many arm warmers, do they???!
