Well protected - ready for summer..with a crochet hat made of “paper.” The cellulose material is featherlight and can be “scrunched” into any bag. Rafia “yarns” are either raffia or viscose, depending on the manufacturer. Of course, it can also be crocheted with other yarns of similar yardage and hook size (see below).

Basic crochet skills for crocheting in rounds are sufficient.

The PDF pattern is illustrated step by step for a head circumference of 52 cm to 55 cm and can easily be adjusted for a different head circumference (described in the pattern). Also included are a printable summary as well as links and tips for beginners.
