One of the sweetest surprises ever to come with Easter chicks! — Look who I found in my Easter nest this morning! Do you think they hatched from the Easter eggs? ... And even though the two little ducklings and the cheeky little chick make quite a racket with their quacking and peeping, they’re simply impossible not to love!

Conversion table for yarn quantity and alternative yarn for knitting and crochet

This is an Excel spreadsheet for converting a yarn quantity from the "original yarn" to an "alternative yarn" of your choice.

Example:

The original yarn specified in your pattern has a yardage of 85 m per 50 g. According to the instructions there, you need 600 g of this "original yarn" for your size. But you would like to make your piece in a different yarn (= alternative yarn). The yarn you have chosen has a yardage of 70 m per 50 g ball. You enter this information in the Excel spreadsheet and immediately receive the required quantity of your desired yarn, shown in both balls and grams.

A gauge swatch is always advisable. To determine the number of stitches needed for your individual knitted piece, the simple version of my Excel conversion table for your gauge is included as a bonus.

Technical note:
Excel spreadsheets contain calculation formulas and therefore require a so-called spreadsheet program. Calculations would not work in PDF format. To open Excel spreadsheets, a spreadsheet program such as Excel, LibreOffice (available free of charge http://de.libreoffice.org/) or OpenOffice (available free of charge http://www.openoffice.org/de/) must be installed on the respective device. The file can then be opened with a double click.

Sometimes the white input fields in Excel spreadsheets cannot be changed, and the message "Protected View" appears at the top of the screen - then please click "Enable Editing".

Potholders—the Crochet Classic

This potholder is considered a classic for crochet beginners.

You’ll need 50 g of cotton yarn per color for a size 4.5 crochet hook.
The PDF pattern is illustrated but does not constitute a crochet course.

These basic crochet skills are sufficient:
(turning) chain stitch, single crochet, and slip stitch (a link to crochet techniques is available at www.swollkoerberl.jimdo.com under Free Downloads).


This cute, fluffy little lamb is simply a must for Easter! Depending on the yarn weight, it will be between 12 cm and 25 cm tall. You can even insert a music box into the larger one. Then the little lamb can come to bed in the evening and play a lullaby. It will still be loved dearly even after Easter.
The little lamb is quite easy to crochet, as it consists only of single crochet stitches. Handling the fluffy yarn is a bit tricky at first, but with a few stitch markers and a little practice, you can do it too. Now all you need is the PATTERN.

If you can’t wait for those wonderful strawberries to grow again, you can simply crochet a pair yourself.
A wonderfully fresh spring wreath in a strawberry design.

The wreath can be used as a door, wall, or window decoration. It is also very suitable as a table decoration without the vines.

The Sleepy Dino is a real hit.

Sleepy Dinos are an extremely rare species, and that’s a good thing: they’re actually extremely dangerous, because their sleepiness can be quite contagious! So be careful if you happen to find one in your bed at home. It’s best to sneak up on it slowly, lie down next to it, and give it a big hug! :-)

 

The pattern explains each step with plenty of pictures and is therefore also suitable for ambitious beginners with some prior experience (see below). Once finished, the Sleepy Dino is a cuddly 50 cm long . (Catania, 2.5 mm hook)

What you’ll need:

• Approx. 15g of yarn (it’s best to use 100% cotton yarn, which makes the egg cozies nice and sturdy. Of course, you can also use any other yarn) in white or brown, suitable for a 3mm crochet hook. Leftover yarn in green.
• A darning needle and scissors
• Some stuffing for the head
• 3mm crochet hook.
• Googly eyes and superglue

To give the little sheep a better fleece look, I crochet using “bobbles.” I explain this technique at the beginning of the pattern and illustrate everything with pictures. That way, you’ll understand this technique very quickly ;-). All the remaining steps are also illustrated and explained with plenty of pictures. This makes the pattern easy for everyone to follow. The sheep egg cozies are a super cute eye-catcher on any breakfast table! They’re also ideal as a gift ;-) !!!

Crochet these cute little sheep egg cups!! They’ll brighten up any breakfast table and make you smile first thing in the morning just by looking at them. The little sheep are truly a fun eye-catcher and make great gifts, too! I crochet the “fur-like” texture using bobbles. I’ll explain this in detail with pictures at the beginning of the pattern. Difficulty level: medium-easy, but easy to understand and quick to follow thanks to the many pictures. What you’ll need

• A 3mm crochet hook. Approximately 15–20g of craft yarn/wool in the color of your choice (white, cream, beige, brown, black... after all, sheep come in all sorts of colors ;-) ). This yarn should be suitable for a 3mm crochet hook. I crocheted the sheep using 100% cotton yarn, which makes them nice and sturdy.
• Some stuffing for the head and feet

This cuddly fellow delights kids and adults alike.

You’ll need:

Using the specified materials, the comforter will be about 15.5 x 18 cm (without head and hands/feet).

Baby Booties Bunny Crochet Pattern

Tausendschön is the crochet pattern for a beautiful large shawl. Thanks to its slightly asymmetrical shape, it can be worn in many different ways. Little flowers, which also gave the scarf its name, are crocheted on as you go and are the highlight!

Increases and decreases, and then Othello is actually quick to crochet.
