Material:
Basically, any yarn you like can be used, with a hook about one to two sizes larger than recommended on the yarn label. Fine lace yarns are especially recommended for this pattern. 4-ply sock yarn also works well.

approx. 80 g Daphne lace yarn (Schoeller+Stahl), 75% virgin wool, 25% polyamide, 50 g – 400 m for needle size 3.0 to 4.0; used here: crochet hook size 4.5, yarn needle for weaving in ends, scissors. Pins for blocking.
