Year-Round Beanie Knitted from Sock Yarn

For this feather-light year-round beanie, which is made with knitting needles in various sizes (the brim with needles size 3.5, the main section with needles size 6.0, the decreases with 4.5 and 4.0) and, for the embellishment, with a crochet hook size 3.0–4.0, 70 g of 6-ply sock yarn is enough, though 1 skein usually contains 150 g.

So from the leftover yarn you can easily knit a small loop scarf or even 1 pair of socks up to shoe size 36/37 :-) [there is a corresponding sock-knitting course for 6-ply yarn here (click me)].

With colorful sock yarn, the color gradient forms automatically.

General knitting skills as well as knitting in the round are sufficient.
For the embellishment, chain stitches are crocheted.
