Sewing pattern magazines—do they still exist?

Are there still sewing pattern books or magazines with crochet and knitting patterns these days, or has everything moved online now?

Do you prefer to look at these kinds of things on paper (in a magazine or as a printed PDF) or on a screen?

Well, there are good magazines for all three areas. I don’t even know them all—The Knitter, Sabrina, Diana, Simply Stricken/Häkeln, Verena, etc. … You can find the best overview, for example, at OZ-Verlag, which probably publishes most of the craft magazines. There are a few magazines that I almost collect (meaning I buy an issue very often). I often prefer to have the magazine right in front of me when I’m working from it. You usually have to print out the patterns from the internet first. However, with purchased patterns, you have the advantage of buying just that specific pattern. With The Knitter, I’ve actually bought an issue just for one pattern after a lot of back-and-forth. ;)

Whether or not you need to print something from the internet also depends on how the pattern is laid out and whether you have enough space in front of the computer for handicrafts.
