Knitting a Baby Blanket

Hi fellow knitters
I’ve started the baby blanket, Chart A—wonderful, but now I’m stuck. I’ve already unraveled it several times; I just can’t get the pattern right, the stitches simply don’t add up. Maybe someone who has already knitted it can help me.

Starting point where
stitches of one diamond
knit 1, yarn over
knit 3
yarn over, knit 2 together — understood
End of pattern: the same, and now you start again from the beginning.
So that’s my problem. I hope someone can help me; I’d be really delighted, because my great-grandchild is due in May and I’d like to have the blanket finished by then.
