Dear users, dear authors,
what’s on your needles today? What are your scissors working on?
Tell me all about it. :-)

I’m putting the finishing touches on the decorations for the Easter tree. Just need to sew on the lovely details and embellish them with beads.
Other than that, I’ve been carrying this hat for my friend around with me for months—it just never seems to get finished.

And then I’m itching to get started on the new blanket for my little one. I’ve got the yarn and the pattern—everything’s ready. But unfortunately, I’ve decided to finish the hat first. A person needs some motivation.....

Oops, I’ve only crocheted 3 rows today.... an absolute no-go. My crochet hook is already gathering a layer of dust ;-)
But I did finally manage to write up a pattern—I spent a few days looking for my notes because I’ve finally created the crochet chart.

I’m currently working on budgies (ZwergnaseBaer).
So far, I’ve finished 6, but I plan to make a few more.
On the side, I’ve also been working on the summer sweater
I started.

I've started crocheting again for a cardigan made from these hexagons (2 pieces), which are then crocheted together into a cardigan with sleeves.
I've already made quite a bit of progress, maybe also because I have 2 days off to relax, and after the stress of our move it's a great way to unwind.
I crocheted it with this gradient Bobbel yarn (from wolltraum). We'll see how it looks in the end.

I'm working on the same pattern as Wollefaden: the budgies :)
I'm already looking forward to the first one finally being finished :)

Unfortunately, so far today I've only managed the head and half of the body,

Oh, dear Wollefaden and dear Tina, I’m sooooo happy about that!
And hopefully there’ll be some photos to see ;)

I’ve been planning my future kitchen in the new house—all by hand, too... I drew the floor plan, sketched and cut out templates for the different cabinet sizes and the fridge, stove, and dishwasher, and then just started piecing it all together...and now the planning is done *hurray*

Other than that, I’m currently crocheting a new pattern...just one more bit to go, and if I stop reading and writing here for a bit *laughs*, I’ll finish it today.

LG

Today, and for the next few days, I’ll be crocheting Easter bunny heads for my Easter bouquet.
I’ll be giving some of them away along with little crocheted eggs.

Today I finished the 10th tiny red sock (32 stitches)—
they’re actually little pouches, or rather backpack charms, for our hiking group.
Everyone who joins us gets surprised with one!

Hi ZwernaseBaer

Here are some photos of the budgies. But I’m not done yet—I’m planning to add a few more.

I still need to practice the face a bit more.

Oh, they turned out so cute!
Thanks so much for the pictures!

A little tip for the face: place the eyes just a tiny bit farther out to the sides and a little lower—just barely above the little nose bumps. But I think they turned out veeeery well! Especially with the gradient yarn!

Best regards

I uploaded a photo of my budgie to the gallery.
I know—you’re not supposed to keep budgies alone, but so far I’ve only managed to get one :)
And I’m always so unmotivated to do the same thing twice in a row.

That’s the only crafting I’ve managed to get done today.
Now I’m torn between typing up a pattern, starting a new shawl (there’s still a yarn cake eagerly waiting to be used), or going to bed. ;)

I’m currently adding fringe to a crocheted blanket. It’s taking a while.

I was out and about for a long time today, so far I’ve only been able to make a prototype for the new flower basket. And I’ve also worked a little on a personal upcycling project (a basket made from newspaper tubes). But the evening is still young: I’m starting on the yoga socks today—I already did the gauge swatch yesterday, so today I can really get going.

The day before yesterday, I crocheted the last row of the second part of my poncho. Now I should weave in the ends. Yesterday it was lying next to me on the sofa the whole time, but I didn’t touch it. Weaving in ends is a pain. Today I only have to work until 7 p.m. Maybe I’ll get myself to do it afterward.

I always try to weave in the ends as soon as possible, so I don’t have to do it all at once later.

I’ve been thinking about that too—I’ll probably do it better next time. :-(
Oh well, everything will be better next time :-)

Hi Arni

I usually crochet or knit the yarn ends right into the project. That saves me the hassle of weaving them in. It just doesn’t always work so well with patterns that have large holes.
