Dear users, dear authors—
which project are you currently working on?
Write it down and let me know :-)

I’m working on a new cowl for my grandma, and right after that, I’ll make a shawl for—oh, surprise—myself.
I’ve NEVER made anything useful for myself—and when I did, someone else always ended up taking it ;)

I’m making a door wreath for a dear colleague.
And with my little one, I’m tinkering with the colors for her blanket. She can’t make up her mind.

And when I can only concentrate a little, I still have two owls to make. I’ve made them so many times that I could do them in my sleep.

I’m working on a new pattern: a bedspread for a double bed.

I’m working on a knitted cape. Contrary to my usual habits, there won’t be a lace pattern—instead, the effects will be created by changing colors. ☺

I finally finished the pattern for the upcoming promotion today :) and sent two to the editorial office of the magazine “Häkeln for you” the day before yesterday... Next, I’m going to make something spring-themed—not quite sure what yet *laughs*

I’m currently crocheting a warm poncho. My last poncho turned out to be rather airy and not very warm...

I’m currently crocheting a hat, a poncho, and still working on a mouse.
Also, last week I got a bag of fabric from a friend. My friend works at IKEA, and it turned out to be a huge bag of scraps (for a pretty reasonable price). Right now I’m washing the fabric, and at night I’m making plans. I don’t have as much time as I have ideas.... As always

Well,

the thing for the event was almost finished today (I’m still waiting for that one missing part to arrive), so I took lots of photos with my camera—and hopefully Michaela isn’t reading this right now:

I messed up all the pictures and took them again with my phone.
Then I did my favorite thing on the computer and cropped the pictures for the pattern—and because I was so good, I’m going to go crochet now.

Right now, I’m working on a few door wreaths.
The one I actually didn’t want to give away (laughs) is already gone. But it’s still great when the recipient thanks you with tears in her eyes because you put so much effort into it.

Next up are cats and rabbits, and, and, and…

I’m not giving up hope that someday I’ll get to keep something for myself, too.

@Sabine... I read that... ;-)))
All I’ll say is: double backup *giggle*

@Michaela,
I figured I couldn’t keep this a secret from you :-))

I deliberately trashed those—they were clearly 2000% rubbish.

I HATE THIS CAMERA—IT DOESN’T TAKE THE PICTURES I WANT!
Isn’t there a really “smart” one out there—the kind where I just point it, press a button, and the picture turns out great?

My smartphone takes better pictures than that stupid thing! (Well, maybe it’s also because my phone has a bigger screen and I can handle it better)... Anyway, it definitely has nothing to do with data backup when I trash pictures.

By the way: My son trashed half the notes for this thing—they’ve vanished into thin air instead of ending up with me....I’m in the same boat this year as Ursula-Petra was last time :-(

As always, I’m doing 20 things at once—whatever strikes my fancy—and I rarely finish anything. Right now, I’m mainly working on a crochet sweater using a pattern by Leomaxi. Then I remembered that I have another pattern from the same designer for a vest, and that a certain yarn would go really well with it, so before I knew it, I’d started that one too...
No wonder I never finish anything... :-)

I’m also trying my hand at a design of my own.
I always admire you all for your many ideas. When I read that someone has more ideas than time, I think, “Hmph, I have more time than ideas.” How do you handle new designs? Do you write everything down and take photos right away? I don’t even know yet if it’ll turn out the way I want it to... The prototype turned out too short and too wide, so now I’m starting over with what I’ve learned...

For the first time since I was in school, I’m crocheting pot holders—or rather, oven mitts. They’re going to be shark-themed oven mitts to match my shark socks.

That was my first attempt.

As always, I have a few projects going on at the same time :-)
Today I’m making a few crochet swatches for a new shawl, and in between, I’m crocheting something small for a quick sense of accomplishment: a bookmark.

I’ve got a few things going on too. Since I want to learn how to crochet, I’m practicing with a video course.
Strangely enough, things I learned in school are suddenly coming back to me. So the beginner’s course is going well,

Then I’m going to take a break—I’ve earned it after that 4-color thing—and just enjoy my Sunday. I’d still like to do some more projects.

Have a lovely rest of your Sunday, everyone who still drops by

Best, Jana

I’ve now finished 3 different baby jackets. Yes, that’s right—3 of them!! I’m also working on a baby summer dress right now; I actually finished the third one today (because of the size). While crocheting the dresses, I came up with a new idea that I’m going to start right away.
Oh, and in between, I had to make 10 of my unicorn charms.
Now I really need to overcome my inner resistance and sit down to write up the patterns. As always, that’s the part of my work I like the least.
Have a wonderful Sunday, and warm regards
Petra

Oh my gosh, those unicorn charms are sooo cute! ♡
I don’t really like crocheting amigurumi, but I think I’ll have to make one of these… though I’m afraid that once I do, I’ll have to crochet some for others too....

I’m currently crocheting Easter eggs in single crochet in various sizes—depending on the yarn weight—roughly the size of a pigeon egg, a chicken egg, or a goose egg.
I use all kinds of leftover yarn for this. For super-mini leftover yarn, I crochet just one round, which results in a very thin, solid-colored strip.
When I’m 5 rows from the end, I stuff them with stuffing. Since the hole is very small, I use the end of a 10 mm crochet hook to help with the stuffing.
I give these eggs as gifts to friends who have cats—that way, nothing can break.
I hang mine on my covered balcony and on a branch by my front door.

As usual, I have a few different things on the go: The bookmark mouse has to be finished by tomorrow, then I’ll keep crocheting my filet crochet curtain and hopefully finally finish the two baby gifts I’ve started (vest, slipover) so I can start a new baby jacket. Unfortunately, I always have way too many projects on my mind and not quite enough time to finish them all—especially when I end up unraveling half of them because there’s a mistake somewhere that only I seem to notice!

I’m one of those people who has several projects going at once.
I’m also crocheting a bigger teddy bear, but I ran out of yarn, so I’m working on the eggs for now.
I’m also crocheting a small runner that I want to put in front of my bed, but I only work on that every now and then in the evenings when I’m sitting in front of the TV.

Hi everyone!

I’ve got a few different projects on the go again.
First, I’m crocheting three budgies that were requested, then I’m working on a kids’ skirt—the first version made of cotton is just finished, and now I want to make another one out of microfiber so it’ll be lighter.
I’m also working on a mobile with two different snails...
In between, I’m breastfeeding the baby and packing moving boxes here and there, because the contractors are coming to the new house the day after tomorrow, and we’re already taking things with us every time we drive over and putting them in the basement...

But I have to say: surprisingly, I’m very relaxed and everything is going great!

Oh, and I’m also working on my 2016 accounts...

Dear ZwergnaseBaer

Your calmness is admirable! I remember when we were renovating my parents’ house—I’d take a few boxes on my bike every time I went there and put them in the attic (with the result that one box is still missing, even after ten years!). I don’t think I got much crafting done back then—I was still working, too. Anyway, I wish you all the best and lots of joy in your new home.

Warm regards, ChristinaE

Maybe it’s actually crocheting that relaxes you so much??

Dear ChristinaE,

wow, transporting boxes on a bike... that’s really something... luckily, we transport everything by car!
And thank you so much for your kind words and wishes!
Maybe I’m so relaxed because I’ve wanted to have my own house for soooo many years, and now it’s finally happening!

@ruthk
Yes, crocheting really does totally relax me!
Ever since I stopped doing commission work (or, as with the 3 budgies right now, only do it very rarely), for which I always gave myself too little leeway timewise, it’s been nothing but relaxing!

Best wishes - now that Bany is full, I’m going back to sleep :)
