You make some really nice things :)
I think it would be great—purely my personal opinion—if you could share a few more details here in this thread about what you make, how you make it, and what you’re best at. Not everyone has access to Facebook, even though many people do have an account there, of course.
I crochet hats, scarves, shoes, socks, hats, Advent wreaths — all kinds of things :)
I’m best at everything :D There’s really nothing I can’t do. But I’m best at making dresses :)
As I said, my website is also in the works, and then everyone can take a look :)
please
I have a few more questions :)
How long have you been crocheting?
Isn’t it easier/faster to knit socks instead of crocheting them?
Crocheting Advent wreaths—I’ve never heard of that, but it sounds interesting :)
Hi Muetzekatze, I’ve been crocheting since last October :) Before that, the last time was in elementary school about 17 years ago. I’m not very good at knitting, just the basics :) Sure, it’s probably faster, but crocheting suits me better.
Advent wreaths or door wreaths are on my Facebook page :) Just browse through the albums :) Unfortunately the homepage isn’t finished yet, but I hope it will be soon.
Clara1962, thank you very much for your compliment. I spend about 7 days on the orange dress because in between I still have to work on other projects or orders, plus kids and everything :) Otherwise I would finish much faster :D
Hello Soraya
You hadn’t crocheted for 17 years, and yet you make such wonderful things? Wow!
My compliments on your crochet skills.
I don’t really like knitting either :) and accordingly can’t do it either, but I admire people who are really good at it.
Advent wreaths: they’re not so much in demand now in summer, but summer doesn’t last forever. Have you planned a small promotional campaign to make your crocheted Advent wreaths a bit better known in good time before Christmas? You really have to plan ahead for that.
For example, I could well imagine that from around November onwards, orders for crocheted Advent wreaths could come in via the custom order marketplace here on Crazypatterns. So if you promote your Advent wreath offer in a separate thread/topic at the end of October/beginning of November, with lots of pictures of finished crocheted pieces etc., then that could definitely get a response. In any case, I wish you every success with it. That’s something different! Or perhaps door wreaths in autumn leaf colours? You could also start a separate thread for that, in good time before autumn begins, so that people know that something like that exists.
Sure, but I mainly get orders for hats and shoes, and I have to fulfill those. On top of that, we want to rent a store for yarn, etc., plus crochet classes, a book, and so on—so there’s a lot going on that takes up a lot of time. Of course, I have plans for when it gets cold again; you’ll just have to pre-order the wreaths. You have to factor in wait times, because it takes a while to finish them :)
