I have a pattern for you here where the size of the case can be adjusted to fit your phone perfectly—it’s super easy and features a closure that doesn’t require any sewing.

Plus, there are no protruding corners, which is often a problem with cases.

Crochet yourself a beautiful phone pouch in an unusual checkerboard pattern with an edelweiss. The pouch is approx. 13 cm tall and 8 cm wide, making it suitable for many different phone models. I used the Samsung Galaxy S 5 Mini as a template. The Sony Z2 can also be seen in the photos; for that one, you’ll need to crochet 2 additional rounds (described in the pattern). I guide you step by step through the pattern with lots of pictures, so the pattern that looks complicated becomes very easy. The making of the edelweiss appliqué is also described in detail and illustrated with pictures. You only need

• basic crochet techniques (making a magic ring, single crochet, double crochet, post double crochet, which are explained again in detail and shown with pictures in the pattern)
• 4 mm crochet hook
• yarn for a 3–4 mm hook (I used "Hauswolle made in austria" )
• scissors, darning needle
