Turtleneck Sweaters (not an advertising thread)

Dear users, dear designers,
do you like turtleneck sweaters? You either love or hate turtle necks, and there really aren’t that many people who are indifferent about them. What do you think?

Turtleneck sweaters are apparently trending at the moment. :-)
Do we need an advertising thread for them?

I absolutely do NOT like turtlenecks at all.
That tightness around the neck just doesn’t work for me.
I’d much rather wear a nice, loosely draped scarf.

Since it’s always soooo warm indoors these days, I also find turtlenecks unsuitable. A scarf, on the other hand, is something you can take off if it gets too warm.

Are there actually removable turtlenecks yet?
That would be nice, don’t you think?

Well, there are cowl scarves / shawl collars
You can definitely wear them with a sweater too

There are also some great cowls here. ;-)
Personally, I prefer those to tight turtlenecks. I’ve always liked wearing wide necklines and then covering my décolletage with a pretty scarf or shawl.
Even though turtlenecks look great with a classy blazer and a subtle necklace—they’re just not my thing. 

Well, I’m definitely in the turtleneck-loving camp. That said, they do get too warm for me in very warm rooms. But you can always take them off.
They just can’t be too tight, especially right around the throat. So either a button-up turtleneck that you can unbutton and fold down, or a knitted one. Those are never tight.

I especially love shirts with turtlenecks. They’re thinner, and you can still wear a nice scarf over them.

I love turtleneck sweaters and turtlenecks in every imaginable style. And stand-up collars, too.
I think they look great and are very practical because you don’t have to deal with a (for me) annoying scarf or shawl ;)

I also think turtlenecks look cute on my kids and are especially practical during this cold season.
They all love wearing them, too.
