Crafts + Cash Back: Campaign No. 4 [Planning]

Hi :- )

Now that our first three projects (Guardian Angels, Spring Owls, Guardian Angels, Fabric Baskets) have wrapped up successfully and were a lot of fun, we don’t want to wait too long for the fourth project. To choose a pattern, we need your input.

Which pattern should we use for the next project in the “Crafts + Cash Back” series?

Best regards
Alexander

How about Frollein Häkelfein?

https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/263/H%C3%A4kelanleitung-f%C3%BCr-ein-Frollein-e-Book-PDF-Datei

The price of the pattern could be lowered for the promotion.

Best wishes, Danie from crochet with love

But I could also easily imagine something knitted... maybe a nice shawl

I could also imagine the owl egg cozy working well... if you close it at the bottom, you have a great bag charm.

I would join in for little animals—snails, little owls, etc., or pacifiers, little shoes... Small amigurumis like these:

Please excuse me, but I still think the little guardian angels are the prettiest :-)

I think Josasu’s millipede is really cute. You could make it in lots of different variations.

We can also use a free pattern. Then, instead of a refund, there will be a gift credit (shopping credit).

Marion just suggested on Facebook using this free crochet pattern for the campaign. What do you think?

I think the idea of a free Pink Lady is fantastic! I’m all for it!

We could also try something knitted that you can actually wear. Not everyone has a use for the little dolls.

Hi crochetwithlove,
what do you mean, for example? I think there are a lot more people here who crochet :-)

Yes, there are also crocheted shawls, scarves, and cell phone cases. Unfortunately, I can’t search on my phone right now.

Hello and moin,
I’d like to agree with crochetwithlove’s statement—maybe choose something knitted or something to wear as an alternative,
that might possibly draw new customers’ attention to CP
.
Just mentioning in passing, I think the fact that there’s more crocheting here could be because crochet is promoted more.
Well, if a crochet pattern wins out, I have a suggestion of my own.

My egg cozies: They are quite easy to crochet, and maybe a real change of pace, and currently with 15% off also still inexpensivePrice: €3.50 €2.98With prepaid account only: €2.38

Sunny greetings to everyone here

Hi there, cute little hats :-) Great idea.
I’m in favor of a free pattern. I think it would be fair to people who don’t have much—or any—money, or who can’t pay for some other reason, and also for the little ones. Bottom line: free is good for this campaign.

Warm regards
Mara

Hello Mara,

good points! Like you, I'm also in favor of a free pattern. For example, we could take the most popular one or one with a top rating.

The baby shoes by Natalija: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/57/haekelanleitung-kostenlos-babyschuhe
Hat by Josasu: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/153/haekelanleitung-muetze-kostenlos-ballonmuetze-joleen
Or (my favorite) Owl Lulu: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/162/haekelanleitung-eule-kostenlos-eule-lulu
Or (also my favorite): https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/216/haekelanleitung-knubbelmonster-kostenlos

You can make lots of creative things with these patterns, and I think all the kids among us would be happy to join in too.

Best, Karo

Hello,

I’d also lean more toward sewing...
A woman can never have enough bags, and this free pattern by Leni is perfect for that

Yes, sewing would be great too. Ms. Scheiner is a dressmaker... she always has beautiful patterns, including free ones.

Tyona suggested this pattern on Facebook:

Resa Crochet Stole

P.S. I’m listing them all here so we have a complete overview of all suggestions in one place.

Hi Karonana3,
I can accept your argument about “FREE,” but when you write,
“We could, for example, choose the most popular one or one with the highest rating,” I don’t think that’s appropriate.
Those are all patterns that are a year old or older and are regularly promoted on Facebook—that’s not really comparable.
Best regards
Moni

Yes, Moni, I think so too. Then all the others get overlooked again because they’re not in the top 10.

By the way, the shawl is pretty.

Maybe CP should start a small survey to find out who crochets, knits, sews, or does crafts. Then they could look for patterns accordingly.

Hello Moni,

I have to agree with you. Better to use a new pattern. The old ones would be rather boring :-) Thanks! I didn't think it through much *ashamed*

We’ll collect suggestions in this thread for a few days and then conduct a poll featuring the patterns suggested here. The pattern with the most votes will “win.” After that, we’ll get permission from the designer and we can get started.

Hello, I’m still new here and just happened to read about your group project here by chance. I’m pretty good at both crocheting and knitting, but I’m only just trying my hand at sewing.

Before I can decide whether to join in here, I’d like to read how it works and over what period of time—so how do you do it, and within what timeframe?

Hi baerchen, welcome to Crazypatterns. We don’t have a schedule yet. We’re collecting suggestions for patterns, and then we’ll select one (by vote). Roughly speaking, I can say that we’ll probably start around June 9 and run the campaign for two weeks.

I think Josasu’s snails would have been really great.
Using a free pattern and then giving participating users the money in the form of store credit
I think that’s pretty generous.
I hope this draws a lot of new people’s attention to Crazypatterns

I have another soccer player design that’s perfect for the World Cup, but I haven’t uploaded the pattern yet and can’t post a photo here from my phone. I’ll show it tonight. We could then customize the jerseys.

Hi Alexander,

could you please briefly explain how the percentages in the poll are calculated?

Best regards
Petra

2800 Posts Recent Started
Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 2:18 PM
Hi Petra,

The pattern with the most votes gets 100%. The other percentages are calculated based on that.
Let’s say pattern “A” has 10 votes and pattern “B” has 5 votes. That means pattern “A” is 100% and pattern “B” is 50%.
If pattern “C” had 7 votes, that would be 70%.

Best regards
Alexander
