Yarn, Fabric, and Paper Usage in 2016 (No Advertising Thread)

Dear users, dear authors,
how many skeins of yarn did you use in 2016?
How many meters of yarn?
Estimates are fine :-)
How many square meters of fabric? Sewing thread? Embroidery floss? Sheets of paper for crafts?

Are all your sewing needles, knitting needles, crochet hooks, scissors, etc., still in good condition, or did you have to buy replacements?

If I add up all the paper scraps that have accumulated over time, it might be about 20 sheets of paper (50 x 70 cm). Or maybe more? I bought a new hole punch and a metal ruler, but I haven’t used them yet—the old ones still work. My craft scissors are still in good shape, too, but I have to snap off the craft knife blades fairly often and eventually replace them—so I’ve had to buy 10 new blades this year, and hopefully those will last for another year. I’ve even repurchased glitter liner twice, though the second bottle was due to panic rather than necessity—its predecessor easily lasted and is still going strong. So my expenses are staying within reasonable limits.

Phew, that’s a very, very good question...
If I add up everything that comes to mind right now, I come to about... oh dear... I’ve reached 6,000 meters of meterage, and I’m sure I’ve forgotten quite a bit ;) 

Phew.... I can really only guess. It’ll probably add up to around 7,000–8,000 meters. Or maybe even 7 or 8 kilometers—sounds like more. ;-))

No idea about the balls of yarn. I can only say roughly what’s lying around here.

Why can I only ever post half of it on my phone?

I broke 3 crochet hooks a month... now my husband has made me some custom ones, and they’ve already lasted two months

I’m totally clueless about this myself, unfortunately—it’s going to be a scary number... lol
But I’ve made it a goal for 2017 to collect all the yarn labels and count the skeins and total length used at the end of the year.

Phew... that’s a really good question—I’m completely stumped... I actually planned to start tracking my usage this year, but it never got past the planning stage ;-)
I’m sure I’ve used up several kilometers of yarn, plus quite a bit of stuffing...
Let’s see if I can manage to keep track of my usage in 2017 ;-)
