Knitting with 5 needles

Hi everyone,
I picked up 5 needles for the first time in a long while. But I’ve realized that I don’t know how to do it anymore. How do I avoid those big holes when I switch from one needle to another? Even when I pull the yarn tight, I still end up with holes at the transitions.  I suspect there’s a trick to it. After all, I used to be able to do it. Thank you so much for your help.

Hallo Uschimaus,

I transfer the last stitch from the previous needle to the new one and then knit it off like that... it’s probably a somewhat unusual way to do it, but it works for me...

Hi, Uschimaus
I’d just relax and knit a “test piece” with the five needles—say, using size 3.5 needles—
don’t pull the yarn too tight—just start knitting. After a while, your problem will resolve itself—trust me. When you start again and aren’t quite satisfied with the result, you tend to get more and more tense—just give it a try!
Good luck

I can imagine that. Maybe that’s my problem. I’ll give it a try

Hoffentlich hast Du recht.
Danke! Uschi[Bild entfernt]
