This Excel spreadsheet is a tool for calculating your desired measurements for a knitted or crocheted Möbius scarf and the corresponding cast-on stitch count based on your personal gauge.
For this, you need the Excel spreadsheet calculation program or another calculation program that can be downloaded for free from the Internet, such as
LibreOffice.
The download includes:

An approximate guide to how much yarn is needed for knitted vests/sweaters/cardigans (baby size 50, children's, women's and men's sizes up to 56), is provided by this PDF chart. The information in grams and meters refers to DK yarns with 50 g- 120 m to 160 m length for

a) patterns with low yarn usage (stockinette stitch)
b) patterns with high yarn usage (e.g. garter stitch)

The exact yarn requirement, however, depends on your individual knitting style (gauge) and the pattern used, or the information in the patterns. Information provided without guarantee.
It also includes general information on gauge and needle size for the different yarn weights Lace, 4-ply, DK, Aran, Chunky, Super Chunky and Big.

I created this general measurement chart in PDF format as a guide for baby clothing sizes up to 104.
The growth phases of every person are different; above all, head circumference and shoe size can vary quite a bit. Personal example: I have been an adult for a few decades now and still wear shoe size 35 ;-)

This is an Excel spreadsheet for converting a yarn quantity from the "original yarn" into an "alternative yarn" of your choice.

Example:
The original yarn named in your pattern has a length of 85 m per 50 g. According to the instructions there, you need 600 g of this "original yarn" for your size. But you would like to make your item in a
different yarn (= alternative yarn). This yarn you have chosen has a length of 70 m per 50 g skein. You enter this information into the Excel spreadsheet and immediately receive the required quantity of your preferred yarn in skeins and grams.

Socks made from 6-ply sock yarn are a little thicker – and therefore warmer – and, above all, quicker to knit than socks made from 4-ply yarn. They are mostly used as house and bed socks, hut slippers, or also for hiking in mountain boots. Men love socks like these in work shoes.

This is basically a sock-knitting course, illustrated in detail using children's socks in size 32/33. All other sizes can be knitted according to the corresponding chart information for 6-ply sock yarn.

Don't be alarmed! It is harder to describe the process than to knit the socks.

We need 1 ball = 150 g (yardage approx. 420 m to 450 m) up to shoe size 44;
200 g – 250 g from size 45 of a 6-ply sock yarn,
used here: the especially soft Christmas yarn, color 02 “Mally Socks – Lungauer Sockenwolle” by Ferner Wolle, 75% merino, 25% polyamide; gauge approx. 22 sts x 31 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm;
set of double-pointed needles size 3.5; row counter is helpful; tape measure, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

The list can be filtered and sorted according to your preferences. This allows you to compare yarns, find alternative options, and compare the prices of different yarns . Prices are always based on the manufacturer’s MSRP.

What does the size chart include?
It provides information on hat sizes and hat heights for different age groups.

This list is intended to be expanded over time. The great thing is that with a one-time purchase, you’ll have access to all future updates to the list. If an update is available, I’ll announce it on my Facebook page and here in the product description. All you’ll need to do is download the file again.

What else is important to know? The table is a spreadsheet and only works if you have the appropriate software on your PC or tablet . The table has been tested by several people and with various programs. It works with the following programs:
