I'm about to cry

I bought the “Woody Bits” summer scarf pattern, but the edge looks terrible no matter which one I try—it never works out.

Can someone please help me figure out which edge to use and how to do it? I should mention that I’m new to knitting.

Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with the pattern, but judging by the picture, it looks like you’re not knitting the border after finishing the shawl. Maybe it’s just because the shawl hasn’t been blocked yet—that works wonders!

Or is it the pattern itself?

Is this just about the scalloped bottom edge, or are you having problems with other edges too (since you wrote “no matter which one I try…”)?

Yes, it was about the border once, but I’ve more or less got that now ^^ Yes, the points are the question mark ^^
