Please help: Crocheted soles for adults, sneaker-style slippers (not an ad thread)

Hi,

I’d like to crochet some sneaker-style slippers. I want the sole to taper toward the heel. I’ve already watched a few videos, but unfortunately, they only show how to crochet baby shoes. I’ve tried scaling up the baby soles, but it’s not working. The soles are finished after just a few rows, and then I have no idea how to continue crocheting the rows. Unfortunately, I haven’t found any instructions explaining which method to use to make them bigger. As a foot template, I’m going to get some insoles in size 40/41 right away so I have a template. I’d really appreciate any tips and help from you all!

Hello everyone, there are two different ways to crochet soles or shoes. I’ve tried both myself and find it easier to crochet from the heel to the toes; so not in the round. Because if the sole doesn’t fit at the end, you have to unravel everything again. With the other method, you can simply keep crocheting until it’s long enough, or unravel a bit if needed.
