Over-the-knee styles are trending

Dear users, dear authors,
Over-the-knee styles are in; we have a few in our shop as well. Who among you likes over-the-knee stockings or boots, and who doesn’t?

Stockings yes, boots no.

Unfortunately, I’m absolutely terrible at knitting socks, and the links only lead to children’s socks.

But thanks, Josefa, for the idea. I’m often on the lookout in stores for fun, colorful over-the-knees that I can wear with a denim skirt and the like. It just never occurred to me that I could make them myself using gradient yarn. And I should be able to manage crocheting the stockings.

I see it the same way as Dagmar: socks yes, boots no.

Taste aside, I couldn't wear boots like that anyway. Because I have short legs that aren't exactly skinny, I look a bit stumpy in them ;)

But it's a great idea, maybe I'll manage to crochet a pair of over-the-knee socks—the winter is just around the corner :)

Short skirts or dresses don’t look good on me either, since I have very wide thighs due to hip surgery. That completely rules out over-the-knee styles for me.

Not every trend is a good fit....

Hi everyone!

I like to wear boots (though with flat soles), even with skirts, but at 38, I wouldn’t wear over-the-knee boots anymore—even though I have relatively long and slender legs… there’s just an age for everything…
They’d look great on my 15-year-old daughter.
Maybe I’ll crochet her a pair this winter… or maybe just as leg warmers without the foot part…

oh dear, I’m already 40 and I really often wonder if I can still wear this or that at my age.
So crop tops and super-mini skirts are long gone, but I really love wearing colorful stockings and tights with colorful patterns.
Maybe it’s also because my coworkers—some of whom are older than me—are always dressed “colorfully” too. Maybe it comes from the dry and monotonous job we’re trying to counteract.

But I’ve always been a bit of a colorful character, and my friend used to be embarrassed by me—even when we were 18.
