Magic stuffing / craft stuffing

Dear users, dear authors,
what can you do with magic stuffing/craft stuffing? Why is it actually called “magic stuffing”? Can you use it for other things besides stuffing amigurumi?

Wieso Zauberwatte so heißt, weiß ich leider nicht. ich kann mir höchstens vorstellen, weil sie so anpassungsfähig und formbar ist.

Als andere Verwendung fällt mir Deko-Schnee ein. Man kann sie wunderbar verwenden, um die Weihnachtsdeko mit Schnee aufzuhübschen :-)

Außerdem kann man ja nicht nur Amigurumis füllen. Es gibt auch Applikationen für Kleidung, die gefüllt werden kann, Kissen, ....

Ich freue mich über weitere Verwendungsmöglichkeiten! :-)

Last year at school, my daughter made beautiful cotton snowflakes with it. We put them on a string and decorated the living room window with them. At least we have snowflakes inside when there aren’t any outside.

It’s also great for creating snowy landscapes in pictures (my older son made some).

I once used it to make little sheep for the Easter tree.

Since I just bought a big bag of it, we could do a little crafting at home.

Just a general question for the crafting pros: can you dye it too? Because plain white is a bit boring for crafting.

I use magic filling wool for stuffing amigurumi or pillows. It is wonderfully soft and fluffy, and you can also wash it in the washing machine.
Unfortunately, I don’t know either how the word “magic” filling wool came about. 

Now I know why it’s called “magic stuffing”

... since my needles keep breaking and I still haven’t found a grip that really suits me, I worked some magic with craft stuffing :-)

Without further ado, I took apart my favorite ballpoint pen, swapped out the refill for a crochet hook, and padded the whole thing with “magic stuffing.” Now the whole thing is rock-solid, and I have my ergonomic crochet hook :-)
