Any sewing beginners here?

Dear sewing beginners,

Hello hello :)
I'm truly an absolute beginner and have never held a crochet hook in my hand. Now I want to give it a try :) I've already ordered a great book for beginners and then a crochet kit. 

I have a few questions about certain abbreviations in the patterns—what do these mean?

dec. together

I've already found many meanings of the abbreviations online :) 

As a beginner, the pattern looks very complicated and hard to understand. But I hope that experience will take care of that :)

Dear Odin93,

“verd.” stands for “increase.” It means you should double the number of stitches from the previous round.

“zus.abn” stands for “decrease together.” It means that instead of working one single crochet in each stitch, you work one single crochet over 2 stitches from the previous round.

There are always great videos on YouTube about this - as long as you know what the abbreviations mean.
But always ask - here, you and everyone else will get helpful answers from everyone.
