Hello, I'm Rudi. Should I protect your flowers too?
I'd be happy to do that, and with my beautiful sun hat, the sun doesn't bother me at all. I am crocheted in one piece, so only very little sewing is needed. My doll mommy crocheted me with a 2.5 mm crochet hook, so I ended up about 24 x 24 cm in size.
  • You need for me:
  • -blue yarn
  • -reddish-brown yarn
  • -straw-yellow yarn
  • -2 small buttons + black sewing thread
    • 2 branches, wooden sticks (one 29-35 cm long and one 23 cm
  • -2.5 mm crochet hook
  • -yarn needle
  • -sewing needle
  • -scissors
  • -a leftover of black and red yarn for the nose and mouth
  • -round marker (e.g., a small piece of contrasting-colored thread)

My St. Martin’s lantern collection has a lovely new addition!

The new lantern is also made from cardstock and tracing paper. It’s a practical size—about 29 x 22 x 11 cm—and easy for a child to carry. The lantern is simple to make; all the steps are explained in detail in the craft instructions, and the step-by-step photos provide additional help.

Autumn is owl time! These owls may have quite spring-like plumage, but I can easily imagine them in autumnal tones, too. Just take a look in your yarn scraps box – you’re sure to find great color combinations for your very own unique owl family.

The Shuhuu family is knitted in garter stitch with short rows – and thanks to my detailed pattern, that’s much easier to master than you might think!

Steffi wishes you lots of fun with the Shuhuus

Here’s where to find the owl family: CLICK!

A scarf-shawl is always useful in fall. The shawl is crocheted in a pretty lace pattern that is easy to remember after a few rows.

The pattern includes detailed instructions; the first rows, and therefore the pattern, are described in detail. There is also a photo for each of the first rows as an explanation.

You will need 150 g of yarn with a yardage of 175 m/50 g, as well as
1 size 5 crochet hook
1 pair of scissors
1 needle for weaving in the ends
Here is the pattern

I also have a new pattern in September. Actually, it’s a continuation.......
I’ve designed a new one to match my Lattice Granny in size and style.

This gives you some variety while crocheting and a colorful blanket or pillow as the end product. The Granny squares can also be crocheted in different colors. So it’s an ideal project for using up leftover yarn.

Take a look. I crocheted this Granny Number2 using Catania yarn with a 2.5 mm hook. One Granny square needs only 16 g of yarn.

Fresh off the hook:
Loop JORDIS: Cozy, cheerful, chic, romantic but not kitschy, and great for beating the winter blues...! Loop JORDIS is crocheted with a simple fan pattern that stands out thanks to its simplicity and, especially, the yarn with its beautiful color gradients. Each piece becomes one of a kind! Here, a gradient yarn was combined with a solid-colored fluffy yarn so that the effect doesn’t become too colorful. The LOOP is easy and quick to crochet and can be worked from both a crochet chart and written instructions for every round. The crocheted rose also adds the ultimate eye-catcher!

These 10 little folding boxes are all glued in just one spot; they’re very quick and easy to make, making them perfect even for absolute beginners.

And they have another great thing in common: when folded flat, they take up hardly any space, so you can make a batch to keep on hand—then they’ll be there when you need them.

Here’s a skeleton keychain for Halloween. Whether it’s a cute—er, spooky—party favor, a gift for someone special who loves skeletons, or something for the sweet little ghosts who ring your doorbell on Halloween instead of getting candy, many people will enjoy it.

The pattern is also well suited for beginners, and the amount of material needed is minimal, because you only need a little leftover yarn:

1) A 3.0 mm crochet hook

2) Leftover Schachenmayr Barvo white yarn and one strand of black yarn

3) A key ring, if it is to be used as a keychain or gift tag

Yes, the temperatures have noticeably dropped and barefoot season is definitely over. So get out your leftover yarn and quickly knit these little booties.

You should know how to knit and purl stitches. Leftover yarn in two colors and a matching set of double-pointed needles. Depending on the yardage and needle size, the shoes will be between 9 cm (e.g., sock yarn with 210 m yardage) and 12 cm

Crochet pattern for a gorgeous zigzag shawl. The beautiful gradient Bobbel yarn cakes are especially well suited for this shawl. Of course, you can also use a different yarn as long as it corresponds to a comparable hook size.
The nice thing about this pattern is that you can decide for yourself what your dream piece should look like. Everything is nicely explained in the pattern and helpfully illustrated with charts and sketches (all created on a computer).

With this crochet pattern, you can crochet a solid-color hat that pairs well with jackets, coats, and more. Yet the hat is far from boring, as it features a varied pattern and a chic flower. The hat can be crocheted with both summer and winter yarn, making it suitable for warmer and cooler days. The pattern is very easy for beginners to follow, as it includes many pictures of the individual steps. The ebook is written for all sizes (children ages one and up through adults).

The weather isn’t really predictable, but Christmas will happen this year too. In any weather. Guaranteed! So it’s not a bad idea to use the time left and prepare for it with a few handmade gift packages. For example, with this gift bag here:

This cute gift packaging with Santa Claus measures approx. 18.5 x 21 x 14 cm and is made from photo cardstock. It is quite sturdy and, if carefully crafted, also suitable for medium-weight gifts. The bag can also be made easily by skilled beginners.

Brand new—the crochet pattern for this cute little owl pouch—a great gift for any owl fan!

The pattern is 17 pages long and includes over 70 photos; everything is explained step by step and is easy to crochet, so it’s also well suited for beginners—however, you should be familiar with the crochet techniques listed below, as the pattern does not include explanations of the basics of crocheting.

The pouch is also a wonderful way to use up yarn scraps—a total of about 100g of cotton yarn is used.

Dimensions (without strap):
  • Height: 16 cm
  • Width: 19 cm
Materials needed: a little more than 100g of cotton yarn (115m per 50g) - for the orange version, the breakdown by color is as follows:
  • 55g color 1 (bag, eyes, strap, wings) – peach here
  • 33g color 2 (bag, eyes, strap) – orange here
  • 10g color 3 (belly) – light green here
  • 3g color 4 (wings) – light blue here
  • 5g white (eyes)
  • 2g black (eyes)
  • 2g yellow (beak), 1 snap fastener to close the bag (alternatively a Velcro dot or similar) – but this can also be omitted
Crochet hook size 3 or 3.5
    Darning needle, pins, sewing needle
Skills:
  • Magic ring
  • Chain stitches
  • Single crochet, including increases and decreases
  • Slip stitches
  • Half double crochet
  • Double crochet, including increases and decreases
  • Standing double crochet (alternatively, you can also use 2 or 3 chain stitches, but it doesn’t look as nice) – YouTube has some great videos on this; search for "standing double crochet"
