Community & Help
Dear community,
Apparently you all have enough yarn and fabrics for the next few centuries. So it only makes sense to extend your own lifespan so you can use it all up. Do you have any ideas for that?
Oh yes, especially these days, as an older person, I’ve been thinking about having an air conditioner installed. If the weather gets even more extreme in the future—and I’m not getting any younger, after all—that could very well be an option.
Otherwise, I live a relatively healthy lifestyle (well, I mostly breathe Cologne air), I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, I exercise regularly, and I eat a balanced diet. And I rarely get worked up—which is incredibly good for the heart. So, theoretically, I could make it to 100. 🤣
In our family, many people have lived to a very old age—my godmother, for example, is turning 90 this year. So I have a good chance of reaching that age too, especially since I live like a young cat, as we say here when someone is doing well :-)) Aside from the fact that my bones aren’t what they used to be, I’m in great shape and feeling fantastic on the inside, despite being nearly 75 years old. We’ve cut stress out of our lives. We’ve cut toxic people out of our lives—all things that make life worth living. We only do what suits us and what we enjoy; the rest doesn’t bother us in the slightest. We eat a healthy and varied diet—we even cut out coffee when we realized it wasn’t agreeing with us like it used to, but we’ve added some delicious teas instead.
So the chances are good that we’ll live to a ripe old age :-)) ;-)
Best, Inge
That was so funny to read, dear Inge. Thank you so much! I wish you many more wonderful years :)
Best regards, Conny
