I have them in my little sewing room. I just don’t have any energy left to make anything there :-( ;-)
Love, Inge
It’s also 30 degrees in the living room, but on the north side (sewing room and office) it’s a cool 29. And throwing all the windows open at night doesn’t help either—last night it was 29 degrees and the air was stagnant; nothing was moving.
I can handle the heat just fine, but slowly but surely, I’m starting to find it pretty exhausting. Especially because the air quality is absolutely terrible.
Here, the temperatures on the ground floor have also been getting higher every day. Yesterday it was 27 degrees—it was bearable, so I did some crocheting.
Our kids and many of our friends have already hit 30 degrees in their apartments. It’s supposed to rain here tonight, and starting tomorrow, the temperatures will start to drop. If it doesn’t cool down, I’ve already thought about sleeping on the patio. The garden lounger is already set up.
It hasn’t cooled down here yet—still not a cloud in sight. But I’m managing to sleep; I have a floor-standing air conditioner in my bedroom that at least brings the temperature down to 26 degrees—it works. And the neighbors from the attic are currently sleeping at their neighbors’ place on the ground floor.
So this is how I’m dealing with this crazy heat now :-)))
I wet a cloth and wrap it around my head
Best regards, Inge

It’s that hot outside; here in my hobby and computer corner, it’s 31.1° despite the fan—but it’s just circulating warm air anyway.
I just took a lukewarm shower a little while ago and am wearing only light clothes now, so it’s manageable. Well, and I always keep a drink nearby. My SodaStream is in use several times a day. But now I’m going to make myself a “nice hot cup of coffee”—though I’ll let it sit until it’s cold. ;-) And then I’ll have some delicious ice cream.
I’m curious to see if the cool-down with thunderstorms and rain will give us a wide berth again or if we’ll get some of it this time.
Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone—and don’t let it get you down.
At 3 p.m. today, it was 40 degrees in the shade. It’s sweltering everywhere. Tonight, I’ll water all the plants in the garden again. Everything’s drooping, and they can’t escape into the shade.

I spent most of the day on the couch with the fan. Plus lots of ice cream and rhubarb spritzer—and luckily, a nice, long adventure movie on Arte. "Around the World in 80 Days" (the lovely 1989 version). Three 90-minute parts strung together, great actors, exotic countries, suspense, humor, love... oh yes, that’s one way to get through the day.
Best wishes, and hang in there—it’ll cool down soon. Ina
