what are you working on right now? Are you doing well?

Hallo in die Runde,
aufgrund eines Blog Beitrags hier auf CP über alternative Sommergarne habe ich mir mal ein Knäuel Tencel/Leinen Gemisch gekauft. Ich bin echt begeistert, es fühlt sich wunderbar weich an, lässt sich sehr schön häkeln und hat einen edlen Look.
Das Garn fasert etwas, so dass sich manchmal kleine Fäden lösen, daher braucht es etwas Häkelerfahrung.

Ich werde heute noch dieses Garn nachkaufen und ein Netzshirt häkeln, das ich über einer weißen Bluse tragen kann.

I’m doing okay, dear Josefa. It’s (almost) summer, so naturally I’m in a better mood. Over the next few days or weeks, I’d like to sew some muslin summer dresses for my granddaughter. I haven’t worked with this fabric on my sewing machine yet, so I’m really looking forward to it.

  But since I carried way too many watering cans full of water through my garden yesterday to water the tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers, my neck is sore today and I need to take it easy. But at least my mind can get a head start on the work.

Both lives are going well! Real life has been great lately—the weather’s been perfect for being outside, and I’ve been out and about a lot.
It’s raining today, so my yarn life is picking up again. I crocheted a summer pillow for the sofa, and now I’m knitting a bit more on that chunky, cozy sweater for next winter until I decide what I want to crochet next.
And I’ve been doing a little painting, too. Since I couldn’t find any flower planters in the colors I wanted, I painted some gray ones I already had.
My phone’s plugged in to charge—once it’s fully charged, I’ll post the photos.

Ja, auch bei mir alles gut. Fertiggstellt habe ich die rote Tasse, das ist ein Geschenk für unsere Optikerin. In die Tasse haben wir noch ein Glückswürmchen aus dergleichen Wolle gelegt. 


Und momentan arbeite ich an diesem blau-cremfarbigen Behältnis. Das war mal ein Deckel von einer Weinverpackung; puh, mein Mann wollte das entsorgen ;-). Der Pappring war rundum am Deckel angebracht, habe ich abgeschnitten, etwas gekürzt da mache ich den Deckel draus für die runde Dose. Sie ist komplett behäkelt, innen und außen - vlt. verwende ich sie dann als Spardose, mal sehen. den Deckel aus dem Ring muss ich noch behäkeln und evtl. einen "Knubbel" oder ne Bommel oben auf setzen.

 

Die kleine Dose aus dem Deckel einer Weinverpackung habe ich nun fertig - mir gefällts :-).

Veronika deine angemalten Töpfe gefallen mir, upcycling ist immer gut. Und so passen sie nun bestimmt besser zur Einrichtiung. 

Rusalki01 - so kleine Behälter kann man immer gebrauchen. Einfach eine schöne Deko. Ich füge immer leere Plastikbehälter ein, wegen Form und Sauberkeit.Und irgendetwas findet immer darin Platz. 

Ich bin am verhäkeln meiner vielen Wolle im Handarbeitsleben und im echten Leben bin ich viel im Garten, nach unserem urlaub sieht es da aus wie im Urwald.

I’m feeling better too, and I’m not starting anything new—I’m just continuing to work on the vest I’m currently making. The back is finished, and I’m about three-quarters of the way up the first front panel. I’m not rushing it; when it’s done, it’s done, and if it takes a little longer, that’s fine too :-). It’s for myself—I’m not taking on any more commissioned work.

I’m kicking off June with the super-cute nativity figures from Mtinitoon. Not because I’m longing for Christmas, but so I can finish all the figures in peace before then. They’ll be displayed at our nursing home to bring joy to the residents.

Ich habe mir nochmal das Cottonhair in anderer Farbe gegönnt und mache ein Jäckchen daraus. Für mein fertiges Jäckchen habe ich nur 75 Gramm gebraucht und es ist trotz luftigerem Muster schön wärmend. Auch bei Wind, habe ich auf Sal getestet 😅
