Busy little elves: did you buy yarn? How’s your yarn stash doing?

Dear community,
did you buy yarn, or did you stay strong? Do you have a big enough yarn stash?

My package from LaCritza is on its way. I actually just wanted to order the matching yarn kit for the upcoming Mystery CAL, but then I got this weird twitch in my finger and accidentally clicked on something from the special offers... 🤣

I also have a yarn package on its way for a KAL by Bernd Kestler. It’s going to be a scarf with lots of lace patterns🤗

I’m currently working through my yarn stash.

I’m working on a “knitting every now and then” project: a long scarf.

Starting tomorrow, I’ll begin a crocheted blanket.
That’ll keep me busy on a train ride.

I’m also trying to work through my stash a bit. I’m currently staying in a vacation rental (just this week) in Badenweiler—with my husband, of course—and the thermal baths here are wonderful!
Back home, I’d started knitting a scarf out of sock yarn; it’s not too thick, is about 1.60 m long, and as wide as my hand. I knitted it by making a foundation chain of the desired length with a crochet hook, picking up the stitches onto a long circular needle, and knitting only knit stitches. It took a while, but now it’s finished—just right for the really cold weather we’re having right now.

Right now, I’m using up my stash. I haven’t bought any new yarn. Every now and then I work on small projects—they’re quick to finish—and my leftover yarn is slowly dwindling.

I didn’t buy any yarn myself, but my hubby gave me 2 beautiful yarn cakes for Mother’s Day :-)))

I got 2 identical ones like the yarn cake in the picture; they’re going to become a short-sleeved vest for me

I, too, have stayed strong and am currently crocheting from my stash. After making so many dish towels, I’m now working on a triangular shawl. It’s a simple pattern, so I can crochet a few stitches here and there whenever I have a moment. 

Good morning—I’m in Eisenach with a friend for the weekend. Pretty much the first thing we did was buy a crochet kit for a bag, and now we’re sitting together on the hotel bed in the evening, crocheting 😄
