Is the weather nice for the holidays?

Dear Community,
tomorrow is Labor Day in Germany and a national holiday in Austria. Do you have nice holiday weather to go with it? What do these holidays mean to you?

The holidays themselves don’t mean much to me, and as a retiree, I don’t really care about them as days off either—I always have time (one of the few perks of old age). But the weather is perfect; it’s really nice here in Cologne. The sun is shining from a crisp blue sky, it’s pleasantly mild—perfect for a walk or spending time on the balcony.

As a self-employed person, I work on my own and all the time—so it doesn’t really matter whether it’s a holiday or not. But I’m happy for all employees to have this day off. Families, in particular, now have three wonderful days in a row to enjoy. The weather is perfect for outdoor activities, because it’s supposed to be beautiful! Here, temperatures are expected to reach 28 degrees. It really feels like summer already!

Like Veronika, I live on the Rhine (LEV), and the weather is fantastic.
There’s a spring festival going on here in the city, so I’m going to stop by and treat myself to a big ice cream.🍨🍨🍧🍧🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦

Here in Baden-Württemberg, the weather is supposed to be really nice, too. I don’t have anything planned for tomorrow’s holiday, but on Saturday I’m going on a short bike ride to the neighboring town, and on Sunday there’s a spring festival in town—I’ll definitely stop by and check it out.
I hope everyone enjoys the nice weather and has a great three-day weekend.

After today’s shopping marathon—by public transit and on foot—I’m going to need a break tomorrow to recharge.
