Hi,
I’ve been crocheting for a while now and am getting better and better, and I’d love to start selling stuffed animals. I keep hearing about CE and EN71. Could someone maybe help me out and tell me what I need to keep in mind when selling them to make sure everything is legally compliant?
Best regards
Alina
Just try Googling “selling handmade crocheted stuffed animals legal requirements”—you’ll find some initial information on:
business registration, copyright (if you’re using a pattern), CE marking and risk analysis, EN 71 product safety, textile labeling (if applicable), manufacturer product liability and labeling requirements, and packaging regulations (if applicable).
You may also need a traveling trade license for selling at markets, as well as professional terms and conditions and other legal texts and requirements for online sales.
And I’m sure I’ve forgotten something…
