Happy Weekend: Do You Have a New Project?

Dear community,
I wish you a wonderful weekend. Do you have a new project for the weekend, or do you still need one? How’s the weather? Are you keeping busy in the garden, with your crafts, and in real life too?

Have a wonderful weekend too, Josefa, and all of you here as well, of course!
A new project, so to speak—I’ve started my third attempt at crocheting an Urmel. The body, tail, arms, and legs are all coming along very well so far, but the head… Well, I have plenty of time to tinker with it—I’ve been ordered to stay on the sofa with my leg up after having another melanoma removed yesterday. I’m sure I’ll also get a few rows done on that chunky, cozy sweater so it doesn’t turn into a UFO.
I’ve got two books waiting to be read, too, so I’ll manage just fine on the couch.
On Sunday evening, though, I’m finally going out—there’s a murder mystery dinner, my first one, and I’m really looking forward to it.

We’ve got gardening on the agenda.
Today a garden order arrived with a grapevine (Muscat), a mountain lemon, and 6 strawberry plants that are supposed to form a tower. Each plant needs the right spot and the best conditions.

Plus, the tomato seedlings I sowed are (almost) big enough for me to prick them out. So, a bit of delicate repotting work.

I’m sure I’ll find time for crafts, too. Let’s see where I end up… with my knitting needles or in the sewing room.

I’d like to wish everyone a relaxing weekend, and a speedy recovery to anyone who’s sick.

As for my crafts, I’ll continue working on the sweater for the crocheted dachshund so he doesn’t get cold. He’s still sitting
“naked” on the arm of the chair.
Card making is also on the agenda, along with die-cutting, drawing mandalas, and much more.

Yesterday we spent the whole day in the garden.

To balance things out, we enjoyed some flowers in Karlsruhe today. The Japanese Garden is absolutely gorgeous right now. 



Tomorrow I’m going to tackle a new project—I’d like to knit a narrow scarf and need to decide on a pattern.

Veronika, I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you feel better soon.
