Finished a UFO today

Hooray, I finally managed to finish a UFO.
A granny square top for myself that had been sitting in my yarn box. I started it sometime about a year ago. Crocheted without a pattern using leftover yarn and leftover yarn cakes.
But see for yourself

Wishing you a happy Easter

It was worth it.

And soon summer will be here, and then we’ll take it out for some ice cream.

It turned out really nice

I'm working on my UFOs too. But the more I tidy up, the longer my list gets, which I've been keeping since January.

By the end of March, I had found a total of 40 UFOs , of which 7 are finished or frogged, so there are still 33 UFOs waiting for me to finish them.

The journey is the reward

Good things take time

In March I frogged 2 UFOs

And I finished 2 UFOs. Usually only a small part is still missing. For these dishcloths, only the round of single crochet and weaving in the ends were still missing.

Dear Andrea,

congratulations on your new garment. Those are some really stunning colors. They’ll look great on you.

Given your slender figure, though, I could also easily imagine this piece ending with a black hem. Paired with some crisp pants, that would go well together. If the top were too short for you, you could crochet on some black lace for a soft transition.

But that’s not a criticism—just my personal taste :-)
Your top is great! I hope you enjoy wearing it.

Best regards, Ina

Thank you so much for your feedback. :-)

Ina , thanks for the tip about the black lace. I should still have some lying around somewhere.
I used leftover yarn and wasn’t sure if I’d have enough for the border. It ended up being too short, so I had to keep crocheting with “light” yarn. You might think there are two pieces layered on top of each other. Oh well.

Have a lovely evening, everyone

I have the same leggings 🙂

How did you manage to get the left and right to be the same? They are two different pieces, aren’t they?

UFOs... horror!
I'm sure I have around 50.
With sewing, I never even allowed myself to do that; I finish one after the other.
I've got one on the go right now too, but for balance I've started a new one 🫣🤪.
The yarn mountains have to be reduced, right?
But there are fabric mountains here too already, even though I only buy 50x50 cm now and then for small projects.
With fabric it's like with yarn: the right one is never there!

I also once had a yarn cake, similar colors to yours Andrea, except instead of purple it had turquoise-blue in it. The pink always bothered me; it didn't fit the color family at all (for my taste). But it's like you say, otherwise it would be too short.

Nice nails, by the way ♡
