Half X stitches?

Hello, dear community, does anyone know how to crochet a “half X stitch”? I’m familiar with “V stitches” and regular “V stitches.”

...I meant regular “X stitches,” of course :-)

For X stitches, you crochet single crochet stitches, but instead of picking up the yarn from the bottom as usual, you pick it up from the top: Insert the hook into the stitch as usual.
Grab the yarn from the top (guide the hook over the yarn) and pull it through. Pick up the yarn from the top again and pull it through both loops. This creates stitches that look like an X.
When you crochet something using X stitches, it turns out firmer and less stretchy than when using standard V stitches.

Hi, thank you so much for your reply. I know what a regular X stitch is, but what is a “half X stitch”? I bought a pattern and unfortunately the author isn’t responding :-(

Unfortunately, I’m still waiting for a reply from the seller, but I’m just going to try out what looks better and fits the pattern.
