Dear Community,
I hope you have a pleasant weekend with plenty of time for crafts. Do you have a new craft project?
If you have any New Year’s resolutions, you can ditch them tomorrow on “Throw-Your-New-Year’s-Resolutions-Overboard Day.” Would that be something for you?
Have a wonderful weekend, too—to you and everyone else here!
Yes, I have something new on my needles; I’m knitting again—specifically this sweater: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/107964/moho-pullover-strickanleitung, but in different colors: turquoise and white.
But I’ve also got some crochet projects lying around, so I can pick up a hook or two needles whenever the mood strikes.
And I’ve got some new books, too—I went to a book reading yesterday and snagged a couple right then and there.
So the rainy weather can do whatever it wants—it’s not ruining my weekend at all.
Haha! It’s a good thing I didn’t make any New Year’s resolutions—that way, I don’t have to throw any of them overboard. But isn’t it (almost) always the case that these resolutions never last very long?
Dear Josefa,
Wishing you and everyone else in the forum a lovely weekend too.
I’ll be out helping this weekend, today at the Repair Café and tomorrow morning from 7 a.m. at the community meal. I’m not sure yet whether there will be much time left for crafts.
I’m still doing well with my "New Year’s resolutions" and have no intention of giving up. The things that get named days—funny. Who comes up with all that, or is there some logic behind it? Is there still a day in the year that’s free?
I don’t have a new project yet, since I’m still finishing up my UFOs. But I’ve already finished one sweater and am currently working on the sleeves of the second one. It’s coming along.
I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. So I don’t need to throw anything overboard right now...
But I do think it’s good to stick with good habits. That’s why I’m off to exercise now. Because: Use it or lose it.
Have a great weekend!
Yes, the weekend is already over again, and I’ve finally finished my project. I spent the whole of last week—and I think even a little longer—unraveling a sweater, which was a real feat of strength with that yarn. Unfortunately, I no longer have the yarn label; I think it said “Bärenwolle.”
And on Sunday, the cover was finally finished.
