Hello everyone,
here you can try out the image upload—either by uploading a file or by providing a link as the image source.
There’s no need to resize the images before uploading; the system resizes them automatically.
Give it a try.

I really should have tested it first. Now there’s another ad from me in a thread without an image...

And just to be absolutely sure...

For me, the direct image upload isn’t working—no matter which image I use or which computer I’m on.
This image uses a URL from my website.

Oh well... now the image is showing up twice. Well, I’ll just wait for a response from support.

There’s a picture with little socks—it’s a pretty picture. :-)

I think I’m too clumsy for this.
I click on the image icon and try jpg, pdf, and bmp, but with all formats, I just get the loading circle and then nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong?
I’d really appreciate a tip.

what device are you using for the photo upload?
What browser are you using? Could you try using a different browser or a different device?
Do you get an error message, or does it just keep loading forever?
If you’ve been uploading from a file so far, could you try switching to the link option to test it?

Help, it’s not working for me :(

I click “Insert Image,” then “Choose File,” select an image, but all I see is a gray loading circle and nothing happens.

I’ll give it a try, too. I’m having the same issue as Kagome_chan—nothing happens. But when I want to insert a collage, that always works. I just can’t insert a single image. I’m using Opera as my browser, but Internet Explorer didn’t work either.
So I always make collages and insert those instead 

OMG, it worked. Yeah. For anyone else who has no idea how to insert an image because the “normal way” doesn’t work:

I inserted the image into a PowerPoint slide and then right-clicked and selected “Save as Picture” (or something like that).

However, my signature isn’t displaying the way it should. At first, the images are huge. Then I try to resize them using the dots in the corners of the images, which works fine. But then the images appear here in the forum as plain text (see my signature below)

upload as a file and upload as a link

“Shrinking it a little” isn’t enough for the signature. You need to resize the images beforehand with a suitable program (reduce the number of pixels). Mine are, for example, 120 x 90 pixels. The program I use for editing is FastStone Image Viewer. You can download it from the web for free.

You can skip resizing if you use one of the preview images/thumbnails; those are 200x150 pixels in size.

A quick question: when I click on my CP link in my signature, it takes me to the homepage instead of to my shop! Is something wrong?

@Katja, when I click on your link, characters appear in the address bar that don’t belong there. Try copying your link again and make sure you’re only copying the link itself.

I don’t understand. I copied the link again, but it still doesn’t work.
Then I typed out the whole link by hand again, and that doesn’t work either. :-((

@Katja, sorry for the silly question, but where do you copy your link from? In the line, characters appear that stand for "bold" in the programming language, and I don’t understand how they got there.

Oh man, that’s not right at all—
it stands for “line break”—I didn’t look closely enough. Off the top of my head, I’d guess that when you copy, you’re accidentally including part of the previous line. I don’t know how to program, so I might be talking nonsense here, but check that just to be safe.

I think I’ve figured it out: After your line “Click here to visit my shop,” the cursor turns blue and the link symbol becomes active, so for the program, the link starts right there. That’s probably the problem.

Nope, unfortunately not. For me, it only works with a URL. Uploading the image takes forever.
I’m doing this on my PC and using Google Chrome.

Strange—when I upload a pattern, it’s very quick and easy with the main photo (which is also a JPEG and not a ZIP file).

I’ve tried it 100 times already: either clicking my link only takes you to the CP homepage, and now I can’t insert the link so that it turns blue anymore! It’s not working with the Facebook link either, even though it was blue before...

Poor Katja!
When I move the cursor over your signature, it turns blue in the strangest places. You’ve probably tried this so many times that nothing works right anymore.
I’d delete everything, rewrite it from scratch, and then carefully select only what I need as a link with the mouse—with a lot of patience and concentration.
So take a deep breath and try again. Good luck!

Are you currently testing the image upload or your signature?
Do you have an image file or a link?

Could you please reduce the size of your signature images? The images are nice, but unfortunately they’re really too large and there are too many of them. That would be very kind of you.

I’m using Google Chrome. I’ll try it with a different browser. But I have to install it first. Thanks.

Try using Firefox—I’ve always been able to upload images with it without any problems.
Just post again in the thread if it doesn’t work. Good luck for now.

Also, according to Alexander, there should really only be a single image in your signature.
