Tunisian Crochet

I used my Tunisian crochet hooks again for the first time in a long while.
This is the washcloth I made.

I used to do Tunisian crochet in school, but I haven’t done it since.

I like your washcloth—I find your second pattern especially interesting and beautiful.

How much yarn do you use when doing Tunisian crochet? And does it make the finished piece thicker and sturdier?

The washcloth is nice and dense and sturdier than one crocheted the usual way. I think you need a little more yarn. I’ve never really paid attention to that before. In any case, the back looks nice, too. I gave the washcloth away, so I can’t show you a picture of it anymore. I used 48 g of cotton yarn (scraps) with a meterage of 125 m/50 g. 
Why not give it a try again? It’s really fun.
